Open goggle maps on android device and 75% of the screen is covered with overlays, bars, buttons etc.
Didnt used to be this way. No easy way to disable all this fluff.
Sad thing is if done right Google books could have competed with Goodreads, Amazon, and others making them billions.

What other game can you play as a real monster (4 legged warg, 6 legged spider, etc) against other people?
Wonder if research has been done into some sort of saltwater based plant. Kelpy?
Freshwater being a major concern for crops and all.
Plenty of low lying saltwater marshes and salt evaporation plantations.

Take a palm tx, mush in a Zune, a larger sceen, some decent apps, expandability.
The so called smart phones only seem to be about sucking people into to extra fees from the providers.
Saw a couple things from hp and nokia but they seem to be lacking pda applications.

Would like to see tie-ins for some online games. Eve for example has alot of little things that ones does not need a graphical interface for. While I belive there is some sort of cell phone work in progress I have not looked into it in awhile. Check my characters ingame mail and reply to corperate/guild events in near realtime. (yes go ahead and declare war, no dont use my battleship!) check character skills and change them if need be. (eve skills are learned in realtime-logged in or not) check/change factory building orders check/change buy/sell orders. all of these should be able to do easily from a webby interface(the check skill is already but not change)
for WoW lessee... start your character in the login queue, so that hours later after you bus/train/carjam ride home,you might be able to log straight in?
One big problem, is at least on ati cards/drivers, the second display does not have any 3d accelration features. Have yet to test on a newer nividia. Also you ever see how long it takes to alt tab back to your windows display? Is your windows display even in the right screen resolution? Icons, wallpaper, etc displayed properly?
These are all problems dealing with weird video mods, bad directX code, bad video drivers, and just plain shoddy programming.
My 8 mhz Amiga did a better job here then my current ati/nividia 3000+ setup. Developers need a good smacking. pulldown windows - multipule display resolutions on screen at once. Alot of online games and single player games would benefit tremendously from an optional second display. Would love it for Eve to have a second display for information. Everyone I see with screenshots has the entire screen covered with windows.
Saw rumors that the next playstation will have dual outputs. maybe some hope there.

It seems google maps is really out of date on satellite views. Just hope reliable is this smog data going to be?
