Linux owns in everything hardware/software based. Everything today has Linux in it even if you don't know it. PDAs, Cell Phones, TV's, DVD players, Cars, Airplanes, even the U.S. Army robots use Linux. iRobot is famous for using Linux as the OS in their robots.
Why does a OS need to take all your hardware? Its called a OS for reason. Its not a video game, its a Operating System,something that allows you to give your computer commands for it can do your functions. A OS should never, EVER, take so much high system requirements.
I hope Linux is in their plans for Flash..
Mac PPC = Flash 9
Mac Intel = Flash 9 -- they made sure this was out no matter what, Flash 9 for Intel is not Stable yet..
Windows = Flash 9
Linux = Flash 7 --- reason for not upgrading yet is because Adobe is Mac whore.
I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing really. This may be a good thing because now ATI may be able to make way better drivers or Windows and Linux. Driver support for both systems have been terrible. Then technology growth may be faster and better since now you have two major power house companies working together..
Just one thing I hope does not die off... The Nforce chipset... I hope we don't loose the Nforce chipset...
Iv always wanted to to ditch my PC for ever and go Mac. Now I can't, because a Mac is a PC. Oh why couldn't apple have kept the PPC! AMD and Linux for me now always. Apple went down the shitter.

Nice new update but i'm going to stay with 2.6.16.. Working great for me so really no need to upgrade.. I'll wait till 2.6.20 comes out then I will update.

People still wont use VP as much for the fact it only runs on 2000 and XP. No Linux/Unix/Mac support. Plus VMware just pwns all!
