Yes - even if it has to simulate elements of the Windows kernel, it doesn't fit into my definition of "emulator". I've even heard of it running faster than Windows in some cases, on the same hardware!

There's nothing stopping you from connecting in a PC to that setup of course..

I was considering replacing my dual CRT setup a couple of years ago, but I decided it was better to spend the money on a decent TV that can act as a PC monitor when necessary, rather than get both a medium range monitor and a TV that couldn't handle 1080p. As far as PC usage goes I'm actually happy using my netbook though, and the TV/surround system get used for movies and gaming.

I also am a little bit annoyed that we complain about the RIAA and MPAA as clinging to an old business model and then as book publishers and retailers try something new (or are even rumored to try something new) we hop all over it and denounce it as a crime against humanity

Digital vs physical distribution is a completely separate issue from injecting ads where previously there were none.

As long as they keep the paid for version separate from the ad supported version as you say, I'm fine with it. If they have ads even in fully paid for eBooks, I'm sticking to paperbacks. Yes, I'm one of those people that see no ads on /. , and I haven't even clicked "disable advertising" on the front page.

I thought it was a load of crap because I'd learned to drive in FWD vehicles and my natural driving instincts in certain situations were different to what the guy said that the "natural" was.
