    This douchebag was wandering around with a group of thirty or so people, drunkenly smacking people in the face with foam golf balls and then heckling them. I'm not sying the cops were right, they weren't, but this guy is no hero.

    If you read the article, it says one person hit a passerby. Not the guy in question here. In fact, it says he did not even resemble the one who had hit the passerby with the foam ball.

    And that's on sites where people spend thousands of dollars modifying their cars, but are insulted when the site owner asks for $12/yearly toward maintaining the site where they got the info on how to modify their cars...

    Frankly, I don't think that the unwashed masses have any concept of how much it can cost to keep a site running. At all. You turn on your computer and all this stuff is there by magic. Something simple in a header like the total cost of the site and how much is needed to keep it going could make an impression, and I've seen it work, but it really depends on the site genre imo.

    I once witnessed a battle of two morbidly obese women, both "sort of" in line to check out, in fat-carts. They were hitting each other with rolls of paper toweling (still wrapped up) and shouting about who was first in line. I took one look and realized I might never again be graced with a vision of consumer culture so vividly. It was awesome.

    Correct. The article states that

    So at least it seems implied.

    I've never seen a person with an actual handicap or disability using those scooters.

    I've always referred to them as 'fat-carts'. Is scooter the PC word to use though? Personal mobility device?
