I've been seeing this same copy and image set for nearly two years now, here and there online. Will this just keep getting rehashed until it gets the funding/approvals that it needs?
ISPs and rights holders will share the costs of the system
Naturally, the ISP will pass on the costs to the consumer, and the rights holders will find a way to pad the product price with their piece of the cost, but we all knew that.
I'm going to bite the bullet and pay the $175 early termination fee. They end-of-lifed my Droid Eris less than 7 months after selling it to me, which means I'm stranded at 2.1 which steadily is becoming more irritating and limiting. This is in addition to your complaints which I mostly agree with (cust. service has been so-so for me).
You can hijack it to transparently translate your own webpages for users without crediting Google, I suppose. If you do it wrong (that is, issuing the request FOR EVERY PAGE VIEW and doing no caching at all) it could definitely be considered abuse.
It's not like Google can't limit your requests though. Right?
I recall having a fisher-price turntable. It didn't have the Grado cartridges like my father's upstairs did, but we used it daily for years. full disclosure: I'm 25 years old (in base 16)
Hopefully there are follow-up sessions where the judge can learn about other concepts relevant to the case, such as clean-room implementation, language bindings, and so on.
If you do nothing wrong you won't have a police record.
It is erroneous to equate law with morality or right/wrong. Something being law does not make it ethically right or wrong. It just means there was enough support/clout/influence/lobbying/greased palms to push it through.
Now my 3 volume slipcased set will look awkward and incomplete and knaw away at me every time I see additional books next to it that I know conceptually belong in the slipcase.
.... meant to say Youtube instead of the 2nd instance of Photos....
As far as I am concerned, Google Search and Gmail are their only sure bets.
Add Calendar, Docs, Photos, Reader, Photos to that list. I have a difficult time imagining those vanishing any time soon.
Thanks

Considering that most car "accidents" are actually people, it's rather hard to undo them. :p

That is exactly what I've been thinking too.

Can't they stick to limiting API requests?
Exactly what I was thinking. It says they are doing that now already though.
the number of requests you may make per day will be limited and the API will be shut off completely on December 1, 2011
Russia seems to have no problem selling nuclear supplies to Iran, unless pressured a hell of a lot from the US and friends.

Thankfully, Android is open and you can just rip away all the garbage some carriers push into it.
Real openness would be me being able to
make install
without rooting the device.
because Apple will tell you why a tablet is so awesome people buy the iPad
Well, that's easy enough. It's a magical device and let's you hold the internet in your hands.

How about Zuckerpunch?
He also walks on stages to give keynotes and such.
The Ballmer doll better come with a chair too.
Nah, too RISCy
I highly doubt any savings will be passed on to the consumer.
Glenn Beck is the new Lewis Prothero.
