I'm not quite sure how a "sequel" would work considering in the end the game does one of those X years later here's where he is now... and you die. That's one of the two endings, though the other one is probably better suited for a Red Alert 2-ish RTS than a real Bioshock sequel:>
I'd start a war*. Then I'd focus on the stories of several crews of the different factions. Benefits:
It's not "us against some evil, drug addicted alien forces" - Character development on both sides
Officers/can/ die, not only redsirts
Spotlight on romulan spies behind enemy lines, a bunch of klingons on their wrecked ship seeking a way to get their warp drive running again etc, not only federation bussines
I think it could work and feel "new".
* Yes, we had DS9, but I never liked it all that much for the pseudo-spirituality, the Defiants varying levels of power (really, first they have troubles fighting a dominion vessel, couple of episodes later they blow them up like space invaders) and so on.
The advantage of MMORPGs in the form that we all know is that one or several servers are run by an entity/company by its rules and the server rules are stricytly controlled by them.Like Ultima Online? There are plenty of nice Shards out there.
The main thing missing from the Laptop market is Modularity. He addresses this slightly by showing a model that has a detachable keyboard. What is really needed are inter-operable components that can be mixed and matched to fit both budget and requirements.
This is clearly the next step, but Laptop creators aren't getting the hint that desktop creators learned a long time ago.
At least Intel did get it. Hopefully they can "enlight" some more vendors.
9:15 Write up advert^H^H^H^H^Hrticle about my typical day, making sure to plug as many Microsoft(TM) products as possible.
9:30 Email advert^H^H^H^H^Hrticle (DAMMIT, did it again) to Fortune Magazine. Fortune *chuckle*.... how apropos!
> I think it would probably just blow a fuse somewhere.
Nah, it didn't.

Bravo, a first post with a youtube link and no Rick Astley!
[blockquote]Panzer does not mean "tank" in German, it means Panther.[/blockquote] Umm, zis is wronk! http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=x3TVE.&search=Panzer
My comment referred to the GTA series which always has been somewhat comic-like.
Dude, it's a game. There's simply no need for that degree of realism for it to be, you know, fun.
Probably won't happen. Just because you can make beating up a whore with a baseball bat 100% realistic doesn't mean you have to.

Well, you can use it to speed up swapping a little: http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_Use_memory_on_video_card_as_swap
No, it's because there's wind and lots of reddish sand around ;)

fusesmb mounts the "network neighborhood" in a folder and works in userspace, and of course Thunar can access it. And all other apps, too.
I remember that one. Weren't there lots of people just floating around for no apparent reason?

Not quite
Stef, is that you?
You could try to disguise your GeForce as Quadro Card with ncvlock.
At least Intel did get it. Hopefully they can "enlight" some more vendors.
Whoa, neat!
- Bigger
- faster
- more capacity
- color vision
- better olfactoric sensors.
That's a lot of improvement, can't wait to get my hands on those.
I'm wondering when they will be out, what they will cost and if they run Linux.
12 Dec 2005 - Linus Torvalds states that "only idiots will use [Gnome]".
20 Apr 2006 - Linus claims "that [...] FreeBSD [People] are incompetent idiots."
12 May 2006 - The FreeBSD folks announce a tightly integratin of GNOME with FreeBSD.*
* You didn't click that link, did you?
"Larry Linux"? I thought that was Gentoo
OMG! It's even circular!
