  1. So what? on Music Industry Attacks Free Prince CD · · Score: 5, Insightful

Let the "industry" expose themselves for the idiots that they are. They're well on the way to irrelevance. Why would anyone want to slow them down?

We just consider it politics as usual here.

In bygone days, the Republican Party was considered the stupid party, and the Democrats the evil party. In the spirit of bipartisanship, both are now stupid and evil.

Bush has killed several hundred thousand innocent middle eastern people (probably along with a few hundred guilty ones). A large minority of US citizens think this is not only not a bad thing, but not good enough.

Every member of congress that has not sponsored a bill of impeachment as soon as possible after March 2003 is guilty of abetting mass murder. If justice is ever served, they'll all hang.

Excuse me, did you have a question about some kind of email irregularity?

As for nature, obviously the received wisdom is to slow it down, and clean up later.

When returning to the US, you're typically screwing around for at least an hour. If you're a US citizen. Processing of foreigners takes longer, and is very similar to in-processing at a county jail. I wonder how many visitors think they've been arrested when they get here? I wonder whether entering the Soviet Union was ever so ridiculous.

In the first place, why do so many people seem to assume that passing laws against bad behavior somehow will make that behavior stop?

It's quite clear to anyone paying any attention that Congress is Bush's bitches. And he'll continue doing whatever the hell he wants because Congress hasn't got the balls of a baby field mouse. They're really only there to steal our money (tax) and buy another term in office (spend) anyway.

There are lots of restrictions on handgun ownership now. People like you who whine for the government to solve all the problems in the world generally seem to think "reasonable restrictions" means a complete ban of handguns. Why is it so difficult for you to understand that passing more laws does not deter someone who's already willing to break laws? Why is it so difficult to understand that passing laws does not suddenly make things the way you want? It merely creates more stupid crimes for the police to investigate and more privacy invasion by the government. And the results are plain: where there are more gun restrictions (in this country), the more gun violence there is.

How about a warning message? How about a hard limit if you want it? How about quick purchase of a 100-pack with your phone? How about automatic upgrades to the next message tier?

I can only assume that phone companies have no marketing people with their heads outside their own ass. Maybe that's why they think people like getting screwed in the ass.
