The amount of ignorance regarding the same handling guns is unbelievable but a couple things to keep in mind is: THE GUN IS ALWAYS LOADED, NO EXCEPTIONS and the other is TO ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER.
If you keep the mentality that the gun is always loaded and ready to fire then you and the people around you will be a lot safer; its kind of like the rule to carry a knife pointing downward or never run with scissors because there always remains the chance you could trip and impale yourself.

The NRA had an educational program at one point in schools to teach kids gun safety should they ever encounter a gun but unfortunately it became too politically incorrect to teach kids how to be safe because certain groups seem to think the world is covered in bubble wrap or that teaching kids how to be safe with a gun, or what to do should the encounter one, is going to turn kids into psychotic serial killers.

I live in America and have health insurance. I envy those who don't have health insurance; usually in my experience health insurance companies will deny or "accidentally" not process claims properly leaving me holding the bag and I consequently have to fight the insurance company tooth and nail for several weeks (or in some cases months) to get them to recognize their error and pay out, and meanwhile the doctor is still waiting for his money.
Sometimes I'll be all fine and dandy but end up getting a surprise medical bill in the hundreds from a year ago because the insurance company took its sweet time to deny the claim.

I'd drop my health insurance because its worthless (what good is it if I end having to pay hundreds of dollars in doctor's bills anyway?) but because of the so-called Affordable Healthcare Act I'll end up being a criminal if I don't buy that executive his third yacht.

I have high blood pressure, among other things, and my family is concerned about my health but I think it's detrimental to my health just trying to get healthcare itself so I no longer go to the doctor because it's too much stress to deal with.

They didn't. At that time the human population was much smaller and therefore it would have been necessary (Genesis 1:28) and as such the stigma and defects that result from close-relative relations would have been much smaller, if any at all, because the human race was much closer to perfection having only been thrown out of the Garden of Eden only a relatively short time ago (Genesis 3:21-24).

However much later it was no longer necessary given the size of the human population and defects would have started to appear because the human race would be much farther away from perfection which is why it was codified and forbidden in the Mosaic Law as recorded at Leviticus starting at 18:6 through verse 18: "‘YOU people must not come near, any man of YOU, to any close fleshly relative of his to lay bare nakedness. I am Jehovah."

Dealer prices are usually outrageously expensive compared to a decent mechanic, but on the other hand I've experiences that tell me that some mechanics are sharks so it's important to establish a good relationship with a mechanic or learn to do it yourself.

I had this other experience where a Ford dealer tried to sell me a car and even after I told them my situation (no credit history) they insisted that they could "help" me, so when the salesman had to go get the manager; the manager sat down in the salesman's desk and after looking over some papers he started subtly laughing.

Another dealer had a car I could afford but wouldn't do test drives on Saturday (basically the only day I have to myself), so ultimately I ended up finding a nice little Volkswagen on Craigslist from a private seller.

I think the friend-zone phenomena is typically a result of, or combination thereof; immature women (esp. teenagers), women who knowingly take advantage and men who have a self-image problem.
On the other hand there are men who do actually believe you can put niceness tokens in until sex comes out and women can typically spot that from a mile away.
And then from personal experience there are cases where a man genuinely loves a woman to the point he would lay down his life for hers but she continually pushes him aside; it's not a nice place to be in, it's emotionally frustrating and generally not worth putting up with so the parent comment's suggestion of separation is not a bad idea because it'll give you time to breathe, mature and maybe she'll realize what she lost.. or not but you'll be better off as a free man from such emotional tyranny.

Last but not least is a tidbit from the Bible; "The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9).
Listening to ones heart often leads to irrational decisions and therefore many regrets so the Bible again councils; "thinking ability itself will keep guard over you, discernment itself will safeguard you," (Proverbs 2:11). How wise it is to think before you feel!
