Maybe like a cell phone? Last i checked, no one's got a backpack radio transmitter just to make a phone call. Cell towers pump out a good amount of juice, too, and cell phones seem to be able to talk back to them.
Note: Every case you just specified were State Law. If you'll kindly re-read my post, and realize I'm talking about federal law. More specifically - Constitutional limitations on what federal law can and cannot do.
States are allowed to do this. The issue at hand is whether future presidents will defy constitutional limitations by raiding patients whom are prescribed marijuana by licensed doctors in states which marijuana is legal for medicinal use.
You've convinced me to nullify my mod points on this article to post. Where do I start?
The Federal government has no right to define what I can or cannot do to my body, so long as I do not infringe on another citizen's rights. If a state defines something as legal for persons to do, then the federal government is not allowed to say otherwise. We have the U.S. Constitution to thank for that.
In addition, The FDA, while useful by nature, is unconstitutional as a federal entity (because they define what I am able to put in my body). They should set guidelines, but should NOT be the law. One should be able to legally acquire non FDA-approved foods and drugs and use them without repercussions.
Further, and more closely related to the topic: Medical marijuana is one of many pain-killers out there, Just like Cocaine is one of many local anesthetics. Hospitals all around this nation have cocaine on hand for this purpose. There are alternatives, but they keep cocaine available in case one of the other methods cannot be used or does not work. Why focus in on marijuana, when there are more dangerous (and abused) drugs already legal?
From my understanding, Admitting your password is akin to self-incrimination, and you are protected from that. Therefore, one should never have to forcibly admit their passwords.
So this is what they tell me: The big bang randomly happened. from that, by chance, everything in the universe came to be. By chance, Earth was positioned at the correct distance from the Sun so that life as we know it is able to exist. By chance, biological material was created in a little pit. By chance, that pit's life form evolved, and from that evolution, it evolved into many different things. (Think about this, Why were they different? Evolution is supposed to be survival of the fittest, and these all survived?)
In all of this, we have a lot of chance which requires a lot of faith in order to believe it. Gee, that sounds familiar. So we can believe that we're an accident; a result of many occurrences that have odds worse than winning the lottery 5x in a row, or we can believe that we're not the smartest ones in this universe, and that being(s) exist that have more knowledge and control over the universe we know, and may have even set life as we know it into motion.
If you asked me, I'd say either side takes a fairly large spoonful of sugar to swallow. I wasn't there to see any of these processes in action; no one else on earth today saw it either. So it all comes down to faith.
Not true. As stated above, the wavelentgh is easier to see to humans. It's not inherently stronger. It's most likely a laser that is less than 5mW. Technically, anything stronger than that requires a permit to use in public space.
The "You installed bootcamp beta and now you must upgrade to Leopard if you ever want to boot your computer again" fiasco a few weeks ago reeked of the same.
This statement may work well for your argument, but it's completely false. When Leopard was released, the Boot Camp Beta software would cease to modify your current boot camp volume. Your current Boot camp volumes would continue to work flawlessly, as if nothing had happened. You just lose support, and the Boot Camp software on the Mac partition. And that doesn't even go into effect until the end of the year.
Service Packs != Operating System releases.
Just because Apples Marketing monicker is to call them 10.x, doesn't make them mere service packs. Each update actually added functionality that wasn't there before, whereas the SPs added functionality that was supposed to be there in the first place.
Don't forget, you're also keeping that $4000 worth of entertainment, bringing your total ROI to 200% (provided the content purchased was actually worth the cost... Google didn't seem to think so. In fact, they essentially paid you to watch it).
The $1 swing in gas from winter to summer actually does have some merit. There is a slight difference in the detergents in the gasoline from winter to summer. I wont speak as to the exact contents, as i'm not an expert, but i'm sure it has something to do with the difference in emissions allowed during warmer months, and frost/water prevention in winter months.
Truth be told, any website can change at any time. However, there is an MLA and APA format to cite a website, which includes date accessed in case it does change.
I think someone thought of this before wikipedia came along.
What happened between June and August? I would assume it had something to do with the patents that both Microsoft and Apple had that would effectively shut each other down. Don't forget: They also agreed not to sue each other based on existing patents up to that point.

The University of Michigan bookstore (if there ever was an official one) does sell wood. At least, the one in the Art School does. If the demand is there, they'll supply it.
You don't understand. TDD (also called TTY among Deaf) is not a primary mode of communication. Just as Hearing people's primary mode of communication is talking, Deaf people's primary mode is sign language. In this regard, the Deaf population has been left behind.
What's happening now is that the existing network is being retrofitted for something that it was not originally designed for. In the U.S., it's fairly impossible to achieve a truly useful ASL communications device with the lack of high speed cellular service. There are many devices on the international market already that would be more than fitting to use as such a device. Now, as usual, we must wait on the service operators to catch up.
You don't necessarily need an empty flash drive. You can allocate a portion of the drive for ReadyBoost use. On my 4GB Flash drive, I have allocated 1GB for Readyboost use, and the remainder is free for file storage.
Uh, More than one?
Am I the only one who immediately thought of Chad Vader?

all this talk of guilty and innocent...
You all seem to be mixing up one thing here: This is not a criminal case. This is not stealing we're talking about. It's infringement of rights.
Guilty until proven innocent, I'm afraid.

Except there's 5 "capita"s in this house, and 10 in the one next door, that is, if you're talking about adult taxpayers.

That'll solve your gripe about motorola contacts having multiple entries (at least superficially).

You're exposed to radiation everywhere, every day.
Your cellphone, your power mains, radio signal, TV broadcasts, 2-way radios, WiFi, you name it. All of them surround you in radiation.
I'm not so concerned about adding one more source.
Actually, no I don't.
