it is not quite that simple. you can actually completely reverse the approach (for example: violins are for those people who are too stupid to cope with 6 strings).
tabbing on a guitar is sometimes quite important because sometimes the finger position IS essential, especially when you have a bit more strings to chose from (think easier playing when the tones are near each other or thinner sounding vs thicker sounding). you won't get that information from the standard notation.
and while recognizing pitch is important for a violin on the first stage already it is also important for a electric guitar, but later, because of all those effects you can do (bending, reverse bending, vibrato with fingers, vibrato with whammy, dive bombs and so on).
my job is actually writing a intelligent transportation system which uses a navigation software for pocketpc. we have reviewed maybe 5 different systems: tomtom, navigon, fleet navigator (the same software is also sold as falk navigator and marco polo), destinator and idrive navigator.
they all have their pros and cons tomtom is great and quite fast. a nice allrounder with a nice sdk navigon is actually the best one, but a major memory and cpu hog with a REALLY expensive sdk fleet navigator is buggy as hell and crash prone. the sdk is primitive. but there is a version of fleet navigator called truck navigator and it is the only pda navigation software (and maps) which is optimized for trucks destinator is ok, but you can contact them about the sdk as much as you want, they never answer. idrive navigator has the least features but the best sdk - you can build it completely and seamless in your application.
to be honest i found the book boring (and i never watched the movies). the only works of lem i really like are about pilot pirx. and maybe futurological congress
well, for me the swiss site is closer and i know the webmaster personally, he's a cool guy and owns lots of guns (and that being a leftwing which is pretty ok in europe)
this pissing contest is boring there are lots of beyond visual range air to air missiles and amraam isn't even nearly the best one or the one with the highest range. anyway, a russian r-77 (or aa-12 as you call it) is pretty much the same but with a more modern design, amraam has yet to be upgraded. the countermeasures are also a bit better than back then.
so, modern russian avionics are not worse (check those new radars of fazotron niir) than modern european radars. modern russian missiles are somewhat better than modern us missiles. the training of american pilots is better though. the countermeasures are also got better and where we end? yep, still a dogfight which can start faster than you think.
soviet avionics were indeed crap, although mig-29 had already helmet targeting. newer soviet avionics are pretty much as good as the western ones. the engines are also getting more reliable.
you can do the same in europe. in germany for example there are three kinds of terminating an employment: personenbedingte kuendigung is firing for poor performance. verhaltensbedingte kuendigung is firing for making mistakes. betriebsbedingte kuendigung is firing for all the other reasons except of "just for fun".
in the last case you just cannot fire at will (sorry for the bad pun) but to chose someone who would have most chances to find a new job fast, that's it. so those fairy tales about how difficult it is to terminate an employment in europe are just that, fairy tales.
it is just that companies don't like to do the third case very much because this shows these companies in a bad light and they tend to have difficulties to find new employees after that. guess noone wants to work for a company which management is too stupid to calculate how many employees company really needs.

this wrong assumption has already been made a while ago - f-4 had no cannon first.
a curved keyboard really helps, even if you already have rsi (as i do). also i switched from a mouse to a digitizer
not the most capable, but rather the youngest.

not in russia afair - it is metric there.
excuse me, but iraq with saddam hussein on top was a very secular state. more secular perhaps than usa.
hitler was from austria
anyway, if you can understand german you can see that this video is clearly staged
