I probably was a little unfair in my post. Chalk it up to a rough day and several posts about forcing children to 'listen' (read: obey). I agree 100% that parents should be trying to determine the cause behind the behavior instead of trying to fix the child.
Some times kids simply resist anything that is thrown at them. I was never a bad kid, but I was constantly bored. School was dull and teachers thought I was lazy. It wasn't hard to pass tests with a B with minimal study time and homework seemed like a massive waste of effort. Why repeat the same task when I know how to do it after the first 10 minutes? My parents tried everything they could think of except stimulating me with greater challenges. Why would they when the teachers tell them that I'm incapable of completing simple assignments? I hope that I'll be a better parent by trying to understand what is motivating any issues, but I have no illusions that I can force them to listen (read obey) if they don't want to. Children are people. Little people, but still people. They have their own personalities. You have to coax and cajole them into wanting to do something. This is just my opinion, but if my children turn out ANYTHING like me, they will need to know why before they need to know how.
Never say never. Nintendo is blocking people from copying their Smash brother: Brawl save game files. How long before consoles require you to be connected to a server to play?
My HR manager asked me yesterday to copy a retail game that her son wanted to take with to her ex-husband's house. I had to explain to her why her copies wouldn't work when I could make one for her. DRM does effect normal users when they are attempting use software that they own.
It was... disturbing. Typical PA to the core though. I really did enjoy the game, but I don't think it was worth $20. Considering that there are four episodes, I would be much happier paying $10-15 per or $50 for the complete series.
I hope you're kidding. AC revolutionary? I absolutely hated the climbing system because there was no guarantee that you won't bounce off a wall. The controls were cumbersome and the story progression was annoying. Repeat the same three tasks to gain information so you can 'assassinate' your target. Assassins don't normally fight off 15 armed guards and publicly whack their targets. Combine Thief with PoP and you'll have a far superior game.
I know that I was better able to predict the attacks at 24 than at 13. I don't think I was ever able to make it past the third or forth level back in the day.
Many don't want to be in the US at all. I work with MANY legal immigrants who leave their families in Mexico and work in the US for a number of years. After they have a nest egg, they return to Mexico to retire around age 45-55.
It's still a valid statement from what I have seen. There are MANY slashdotters that despise any form of belief in a 'higher power', let alone a supreme God.
Populous and Dungeon Keeper were fantastic, but I wish I had played Syndicate back in the day. Black & White was such a disappointment that I never bothered to try Fable.
Pontiac Vibe $18-19k and it gets 36mpg/hwy.

It runs out dead owls, not seals. The sound of the engine stuns the owls to make filling up easy. (credit goes to Scott Adams for that one.)
I wish I had mod points.
It cost me $.88 in 1996. It jumped up above $1.00 the following year.

You're so evil that they spit you out into one of the lower circles? *shudders*
My mistake. The information was gathered when my wife was piano shopping. Chalk it up to my lack of interest in following up with research.
They strip it out of pianos that are imported into the US. It doesn't matter when it was made, they'll still destroy it.

Too bad he didn't push the whole high speed connection aspect as well.
A Serenity MMO would be pretty sweet if they set it during the war. Choose a side or perhaps a neutral trader. Could be good if they planned it out.
I actually really like Eureka. Can't say the same for the crap movies that they keep putting out, but Eureka is very entertaining.

Tossing out an orange for the first time is something that I will NEVER forget. So very wrong... ;p
More customers = more potential sales. I would be fired on the spot if I cut out 50% of the customer base.
It bothered just about everyone. We just choose to overlook it since the rest of the game is fantastic.
I will be very unhappy if that turns out to be true..

When did Greenpeace have credibility to lose? I'm really not trolling, I just can't stand their tactics.
