I unbundled my RoadRunner from Time Warner cable by getting DirecTv and switching to Earthlink cable which goes over the exact same RoadRunner lines and costs me 41.95 a month. Since my cable modem was already in place all it took was a call to Earthlink who switched me to a Time Warner rep, with no hold time!, and they made an adjustment in their computer system. Time Warner bills me, Earthlink provides customer service, I win.
20 minutes from the boro of Manhattan in NYC will get you to the boro of Queens/Nassau County border, still one of the most populated areas in the country if not the world. That is with no traffic, try it at rush hour on a Friday afternoon in the summer and good luck making it out of the tunnel, assuming you start at 34th and 5th. The middle of Manhattan for all intents and purposes.
Well my cell phone is always charged, my radar detector uses the car's second power port, and if I am listening to my iPod I don't need the XM radio plugged in. I am also pretty sure newer cars or SUVs have even more then 2 power ports.
I can think of so many devices that use the car's power port, cell phones, radar detectors, XM and Sirius radio units, to name a few. How is using a power supply in a car "a lot of gymnastics". If other players had any market share I am sure someone would make the same kind of charger for those as well.
If you are on a roadtrip, presumably in a vehicle that presumably has what used to be a cigarette lighter but is now just a power port, and you own an iPod why would you not have a car charger? Heck some of them will even play your iPod through your car speaker system for better sound and 4 or more! speakers.
Yes if you buy your own TiVo model it can be activated, but DirecTV will not give you one. I tried my hardest because the R15 has a lot of bugs, but they wouldn't budge.
DirecTV hasn't provided TiVo's to customers for most of this year, they have their own inhouse brand DVR now the R15. They still support their customer with the TiVo's however.
It is a relatively new "feature" on most? Microsoft and Logitech keyboards. That when turned on, which is not the default, lets your F keys act normally, but, when turned off, the default!, assigns them different functions.
While we are getting rid of Numlock lets get rid of F-Lock as well. What a worthless button that is, at least in it's default state. If they switched it to F-Lock off meaning regualr F key use then I could live with it.
I'm sorry but maybe I didn't drink all the Kool-Aid you did. Haven't Apple computers always been PC's? You know a personal computer. In fact I'd say an Apple is more personal than a computer running Windows since it is more user, i.e. person, friendly.
Well it sure is a good thing I didn't watch a movie with a Plastic Man, a Human Torch, a guy made out of rocks and an Invisible Woman for it's physics then.
Perhaps that person bought an iPod because it is a superior player to the (Un)Creative offering in terms of actual usability. Of course some people might think an up and down scroling bar works better than a wheel, I haven't actually met any yet.
While she may not be high on the average Slashdot user's, i.e. male, perhaps older than 20, I believe the 13-16 crowd like her music and will beg mommy and daddy to get them the new Jessica song. Remember folks as much as you want it to be true the people who post here are not the majority in this country. I have a feeling this won't do that great because it is not offered by the iTunes Music Store but it is still a step in the right direction.
Porsche owners don't need or want spinner rims to mess up their beautiful automobile. It's not a 95 Honda with a big NOS sticker on the rear quarterpanel and a bodykit that doesn't quite fit you know, it's a Porsche.

So Vista should only cost about .50 American? Sweet!

Peter Pan Peanut Butter is the only homonigized peanut product I will eat with jelly.
Maybe if you didn't post as an AC to hide something I'd respond to you again.

But do the sharks have frickin lasers on their heads, cause if they don't then it is not as cool as an iPod.
The why is Derek Jeter racing Spike Lee on the streets of, I assume, Brooklyn in recent Mustang ads on NYC television?

Maybe it's because no one outside of musicians and people who hope to one day be musicians have ever heard of Line 6 or a bass pod.

If it is baby cows I would suggest some good tomato sauce and some mozzarella chesse.

Obligatory:
"Me fail English, that's unpossible!"

I like my Fruit by the Foot.
I'm sorry you must not have noticed that WinXP is only Windows 5.5, psst Win2K was Windows 5.0.
