I think my favorite use of tune-correcting software so far is "Bastard Wants To Hit Me" by TMBG. It's used to give a creepy vocal effect to the lyrics, as the perfect jumps are kinda jarring. At least it's a cool effect.
I don't understand how corporations get so much power. Chartwells, which runs my campus dining program, managed to ban a friend of mine from the entire Student Activities Center for the high crime of stealing a cup of seltzer she thought was just plain water (and therefore free.) I don't even know how that's legal. Automatic recognition (and the failure thereof) is gonna make this world a pretty scary place.
Unrelatedy, sir and/or/else ma'am, I'd imagine you have trouble with bathrooms. People tend to be weirdly militant about this.
Not figure out as in naming it, but figure out as in "If I sing this, it will sound good". I don't need to know that the song is in G Mixo to sing in G Mixo, I just need to know what notes sound good, and I can hear that in my head and sing those notes. I doubt this is a rare talent.
See, what many people really could use is a simple, easy midi drumbeat/chord progression/backing track generator that generates a custom backing track.
Personally, I could use this for bass practice pretty well (to help me figure out keys and things).
I think most people who can sing pleasingly anyway can figure out what key a song is in by hearing it. Matching the backing track to the melody in silico is a lot harder than matching a melody to a backing track in the human brain.
AFAIK, Judaism doesn't anymore. Jews actually actively try and dissuade people from converting. This was most likely due to people threatening them with death if they proselytized. There is, however, usually some/a lot of pressure if a non-Jew is interested in marrying a Jew for the non-Jew to convert.
Often just one level up will be more knowledgeable and compassionate about situations.
One of my friends, who is intersex and transgender, was followed and approached by campus police at my school 3 hours after going into the "wrong" bathroom (which one is right?). Sie was almost arrested, but sie and hir friend went to the person in charge. In return, they got a formal apology from the offending police. This shouldn't happen. However, it does, sadly. I was very glad at least someone knew the right thing to do.
Bit of a grammar nazi, but Cowboy Bebop is the name of the show. There is no character or thing in the entire show named "Cowboy Bebop". The crew of the Bebop (Spike and Jet's ship) did go looking for a Betamax player in one episode, because somehow Faye made a tape in her adolescence in the early 2000s on a Betamax.
But the "many" make use of many of these social programs. I bet many of the middle class would suddenly look very poor if they had to start paying for schools.
New York has about the second best school system in the country (usually alternates with California and a couple of other states), and has a quite good state university program. This creates skills and abilities which then create wealth. Remember, it's not a zero-sum game, wealth can be created, and schools do that.
I'm not saying New York Schools are perfect (far from), but they're some of the best we have, and we need to reform and improve them, even if it takes even MORE money. Good schools will attract people here.
No, it won't. If your voice changed because of Estrogen, a lot of transsexuals would have to spend a lot less effort. The voice deepening is a one way change. Estrogen can stop the voice deepening, but not reverse it.
However, your hips would widen, you would develop breasts, facial and body hair would grow in thinner, and a lot of other things.
Pork barrel spending costs the federal government about $30 billion a year. That's actually a very high estimate.
On the scale of the trillions the government normally spends, it's almost nothing.
Not saying it shouldn't be eliminated, pork barrel spending isn't right, but eliminating it wont cure all our financial woes.
They are still a few times more expensive to produce than the red ones.
I guess they just look that much cooler?
Also, we're talking about $.25 vs $.10, if there's one LED on the product, that's not a huge difference.
The problem with the "Drive" argument is that someone who maybe could drop a second or even their first job with the income from their works is getting a definite increase in the amount of time they can devote to their music.
Knowing from experience, making music requires both time and effort, and inspiration.
Copyright is for the benefit of both artists and society at large. It encourages the creation of new works by making it more economically feasible to do so, by offsetting both the explicit and implicit costs of creating works. While the costs of production went down (still, it requires a decent investment to get instruments and recording equipment. I'd estimate a cheap rock band and a cheap recording set would be about $2500 at least) A person is going to have more time to devote to works if they have income from their works.
People don't deserve to be paid for it just because they created it, however, they do deserve to be paid because someone considered their product (a recording) worthwhile to purchase. People should be allowed to charge for their recordings. Recordings are a valid product, they provide utility, and therefore a valid and fair price can be set for them.

I'm pretty sure LOST is all on the internet. A friend told me about it.

Wikipedia has a mention of them on the page on gender neutral pronouns.
Besides, going into the "wrong" bathroom is not a legal offense, or even against university policy. I have checked this out since.

Off topic, but someone should make an "Undo Stupid" button that undoes misclicked moderation.
I think the basic point is, fuck categories like this when they end up getting people hurt. Or killed.
Cost includes more than just the price on the package. Time investment has a cost to it.

I admit it's not perfect, but my point was, it's the music that's the thing, the live performance is a way of getting the music that has its benefits.

That's like saying for movies, the theater experience is the thing, and so they should give me a DVD at the door on the way out.
