    Anyone else want to call bubble on these web-apps? It seems like everyone and his kid brother nowadays has some kind of web-app to do something social but inane that makes a lot of ad money or gets bought by Google.

    Hurray for TUD:OS! Kudos for actually managing to get a functional but custom operating system into working live-CD form.

    The system architecture looks fine and dandy (L4 is a pretty good base microkernel), and I love the capability to make this system perform 9 different scenarios, including running L4Linux for when they lack their own software.

    All humans are physico-chemically unique; therefore all humans are morally and philosophically equal.

    When everyone is unique there is no logical justification for any particular moral system. Therefore the logical conclusion is to allow and protect every moral system to the maximum possible extent that does not hold one moral system (and therefore its adherent(s)) above another, viz a viz "natural rights".

    Problem: Incest brings out recessive genetic defects. So a child of incest carries defective genes that, thanks to people knowing about defects, makes them less desirable as a mate. Nobody wants to marry or screw the guy with a recessive genetic defect.

    Hyper-focusing on interesting things is one of the known characteristics of "ADD", and one of the best proofs that there is no such "disorder". Everyone can focus when they want to, what doctors call ADHD is not being able to focus on something that bores you to death, ie: school, work, chores.

    Honestly, I like technology, but I don't think you should focus on "disruption" as the goal with technology. I think you should focus on producing more technology to do what I want, because my conservative values should override other people's values.

    News to you: Any woman who wanted to work in the games industry could be paid an extremely high salary just to explain to "normal game designers" (ie: nerds) what a female character should look, act and be like.

    All of a sudden those degrees in Women's Studies actually become useful.

    In the open-source community! The Free Pascal Compiler is a working command line compiler for the Delphi language, Object Pascal, and a graphical IDE called Lazarus is available to step in for Delphi itself.

    Beholdeth the Open Source Power, that it doth keep languages from the grave!

    I concur. My kernel is written in Object Pascal, Delphi's backend language. After all, there's two open source compilers which both work with normal binutils. And the language is C++'s cleaner cousin!

    The mainstream media and blogs are beginning to watch over each other reciprocally. This is a good thing. It means that if either lies or fucks up, the other pounces down its throat.

    Actually, the Christians made the Jews of Europe usurers, because the Christians were following a similar law saying that no Christian could demand interest of a Christian!

    Let's trace this, shall we?

    1.Christians make Jews usurers because it's allowed for Jew->Christian loans to have interest. They also force it Jews by banning them from owning and working land like everyone else.
    2.Jews live with the cards Fate has dealt them.
    3.Christians blame Jews for #2.
    4.Riots and Anti-Semitism
    5.Christians profit!

    Why do people use VB anything for anything? There are better IDEs for both Windoze and .NET made by M$ (C++,C#) and Borland (Delphi,C++,C#?). BASIC is a crappy language in the first place.

    Apparently some Christian nut has finally caught on to what us Slashdotters have been saying for years! RFID chips are the Mark of the Beast, and the Beast himself... well let's just say he's in his sixth year of power.

    Albrecht's entry into the Christian book marketplace has not marginalized her voice in the media or with the RFID industry.
    That worries me, somewhat.
