Ok then, EXPLAIN THIS: http://current.com/16d9e4c
If they are not stating the intentions they have WHAT are they doing?
Do you always keep your head in the sand like that? Your fingers in your ears and your eyes covered refusing to believe what they would otherwise prove to you?
I bet the Malibu windows are easier to kick out than the Belair, just because they are thinner and designed to burst on impact. What kind of side windows did the Belair have in it? Was it safety glass like what is in the Malibu?
OK. Having seen this posted time and again on here, I must respond. My grandmother drove an early 70's Cadillac in a head on collision with an early 90's Honda Civic. The crash was mostly head on, with the offset to the drivers side. Speed was 65-70Mph for both cars. The crash killed the driver of the Honda but My grandmother walked away with slight busing and a single scratch. However, the Cadillac V8 Engine and transmission was in the passenger seat and back seat of the Cadillac! It did NOT go through the Honda, the Honda went through the Caddy, although it did it in pieces. The fact that my grandmother was unhurt was, quite simply unbelievable! (She just said, "That is because of the hand of a REAL God, not the ones you hear about in the news, etc.) My point is that even 15 years ago cars had progressed enough to keep the engines from coming through the colliding vehicle. The V8 Engine has much less mass and momentum than the rest of the car, when they collided the V8 was broken off it's mounts and pushed back while the rest of the cars disintegrated on each other.
If you think I am trying to say the Caddy was a safer car, you are wrong. By all rights they both should have been dead, I never argued religion with her though! Almost scary to argue against that kind of demonstration. Kind of like standing on a train track refusing to believe in the train.
While I am not the person you are asking, I use a CPU meter when I have an operation running such as indexing a large drive or case file. Some of these contain almost a terabyte of data and it takes my 8 core machine several hours or days to complete. While the indexing process is underway, the program just shows a status message of "Indexing... Please wait" If this process crashes nothing changes on the program, but the cpu load will drop to normal form 100% usage. I would LOVE to have a small 3-7" screen that I could leave connected to this machine and glance at it once in a while while my KVM is on my other workstation, too bad I can't convince the purchasing department I need it.
The price for a fully decked out system is $58,000 (according to an earlier post), however the floor space / cooling system alone would justify the cost increase. This would make an excellent virtual server system provided your servers did not require a massive amount of data storage locally. I wonder if we could get one with a fiber channel connector so it would interface with a large disk array?
I have actually done this, the hard drive can NOT be submerged as it does have an air vent to allow for pressure equilibration. The problem is that the oil will not dissipate the oil into the air as fast as the pc generates the heat, in a 10 gal tank my stock 2Ghz pc was good for about 12 hours before it locked up. I also tried attaching a 300GPM pump and a small radiator to help cool the oil but the pump can not circulate the oil fast enough and eventually burned out in about a month. I also attempted to replace the oil cooler with a closed loop water system but the PC gave out and I quit messing with it. Another thing DO NOT USE VEGETABLE OIL it will spoil and STINK! I used mineral oil and had no trouble except for cooling the oil.
What about running the return / heated water over a small 'water fall' to take advantage of some evaporation cooling before returning it to the ocean. This would work better where the water already has to be pumped up to the level you wish to drop it from of course but why would it not help at least?
My current set of head phones have a feature which have caused me to decide to stay with them instead of going with the much more expensive ones I had been saving up for. Namely a sliding piece that 'straps' the 2nd earphone to the cord allowing for use of only one while keeping the other out of the way for exactly the reason you suggest above. If these new phones were configurable it may be different but I rarely use the 2nd ear piece and listen to podcast/audio books/streaming talk radio/talk on phone and during each of these I need my other ear to pay attention to what is going on in the office / on the road around me.
The ones I use now are made by body glove and sold at walmart if anyone is interested.
"They"... Why do you just through all Police under the same buss with some idiot who needs to be charged with assault and battery? Just because some one dose something like this means all police think they can and should do it?
A taser strike last all of 5 sec, even a flesh wound to the arm or hand will not heal for a week or more. The pain from a taser is gone when the taser stops, a gunshot wound hurts till the meds kick in!
Yet at the same time, take a look at the Texas officer who tazed the 80+ grandmother, He was a very large man she was a crazed little old lady, she was trying to attack him, trying to run out into the highway, according to the video it even looked like she was attempting to grab his pistol. He was faced with a choice of tackling her and most likely breaking something like an arm, hip, or ribs, etc. or as you suggest hitting this lady with his baton (~24" steel pipe) or just tazing her which provided just the right amount of force required to get the situation under control with out causing any real/lasting damage to the lady.
What I am trying to point out is that both tools are necessary because I do agree that a PCP perp dose not respond to a tazer the way a normal person does, they also do not respond to a steel pipe the same either. That stuff will make a perp think they are indestructible!
The truth of the matter is simply that the perps know you (as a police officer) can not shoot them unless they are offering deadly force against you or another. It is however legal to taze them if they offer resistance. If you pull your pistol on a perp and he knows you have no right to shoot, he will laugh and keep doing what he is doing, pull a tazer and he will change his mind. It is legal for a police officer to taze some one anytime they have a reason to place their hands on them, this IMHO is inappropriate and should be judged according to the situation.
The WiFi allows a photographer to ad-hawk network to a laptop and automatically upload the pictures, this allows them to shoot many more photos with out needing to change data cards, open the camera to dust etc., display photo on a much larger monitor instantly and wirelessly, etc.
While not suitable for all occasions, it is a very nice time saver for others.
No problem, the newer cameras usually have much better optics now, and all you need to do is to set the resolution to a lower setting than the cameras maximum. Most cameras have at least 3 quality settings which only adjust the resolution but still gives you the use of the rest of the improvements over your (presumably) old one. Not saying you should rush out and buy a new camera, just that their is hope when you have to replace the one you now have for some reason. The new camera will also allow you to have the larger format when you need it for that one shot when you just want it to be perfect and to scale to the highest resolution your monitor will handle for a desktop background... etc.
There are 4 boxes to use in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo. Use in that order. Starting now.
So we tried the ballot, we are at the jury part now, right?
OnT:
They are forced to build vertically to accommodate the population they currently have, so just putting the solar cells on top of everything would not be enough, and would destroy what they currently have of a view. The roofs of the traditionally built buildings are a defining feature, solar panels would destroy that. It would seem that this is most likely worth a lot to them. Is a very interesting project at any rate.
If they prove the technology out perhaps they can also market it to other countries / corporations and recover some / all / make a profit.
Yes, however that sound (as it is when rolled off the production floor) is a highly engineered sound. Take a look at the production of the V-Rod, an engine designed and built by Porsche but they used a sound stage to design the exhaust so it would sound like a Harley not a Porsche.

You have got to be kidding me!

Hanging those on the mirror just made the car loose its will to survive! It just gave up and cashed in it's chips. ;)

Perhaps he should rethink that sig, clearly this one should have been attributed to malice. ;)

This would take up a lot less space than a full rack would, I wonder about the cooling capacity it would require as apposed to a full rack?

Yes they do exist : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sole_(fish)
Only in the fact that this article is about car companies not printer companies.
Could allways use something like this...
Kensington Dual Monitor Adapter - graphics adapter
Mfg. Part: K33907US | CDW Part: 1378404 | UNSPSC: 43201401
If a person is unarmed and resisting arrest, an officer should clearly warn the person he/she will be forced to use a taser at least 3 times
They are, they usually just shout taser, taser, taser! then pop.
Despite what they say a police officer cannot detain or restrain you without first putting you under arrest...
You are simply incorrect in this assumption. There are several other detention states than "Under Arrest"
"They" ... Why do you just through all Police under the same buss with some idiot who needs to be charged with assault and battery? Just because some one dose something like this means all police think they can and should do it?
Actually that should have been "inappropriate in all situations" and I do agree with you.

(IAaPO) not that it matters.
Have you ever smelled one of those things? WOW ... I'm talking about ... Just ... WOW
