He also conflated "faggot" with "bisexual" since he obviously acknowledged you've fucked at least some women, even if "a relatively small number" of women. It just goes to show is intelligence level and his persistent cognitive dissonance.
I'm also thinking of cancelling Netflix streaming. I have been spending far more time watching Hulu and Crackle and Amazon Prime since Netflix's catalog has really started to suck.
For the music industry, there is no such thing as "enough profit." If someone else is getting a tiny sliver of the pie, or if they are missing out on a few crumbs of the pie, the music industry demands to be compensated with several full pies.
Right,... if they are copying Apple, the adapter will let you listen using headphones, but will not include pass-through charge capability, doubling the fail.
> This all comes down to personal responsibility, not more nanny state regulations. I say we let the markets sort this out. Next thing you know they'll be conducting raids on wasabi factories. Where does it end?
I dunno where regulation should end. Maybe where consumers are protected, where we have clean water and clean air, and aren't setting up the environment to make us and millions of other species to go extinct within the next couple of centuries? If regulation is what it takes to achieve that (it is), then I am all for it.
Regulating banking and getting banks OUT of selling investments and back to, you know, banking, and where people actually earned interest on their deposits (I used to get 8%-12% on my savings account in the '80s) would not be an entirely bad thing, either.
There is a lot to be said about the Democrats' desires rather than the Conservatives. Just what the heck are conservatives conserving, anyway, other than straight white male privilege?
By slapping their name on it, they take on the responsibility of the manufacturer. There are PLENTY of "paper manufacturers" out there who do nothing more than relabel others' products with no changes to the product whatsoever.
They won't, because there is little profit to be had compared to warmongering, er, I mean liberating oil, er, I mean, "democratizing" other nations then awarding reconstruction and mineral rights to their corporate sponsors.
> Come on, man, haven't you ever rubbed one out with some aloe vera lotion? This could potentially affect millions of nerds, it's definitely stuff that matters!
If they have been buying Sprawl*Mart brand aloe vera lotion, then no they haven't.
It's kind of like when you allow VW to test emissions on their own vehicles and provide the data to the government, never once mentioning the fact that the ECU has code to detect test conditions and adjust the fuel and ignition timing curves to cut emissions during those specific conditions, and not get caught because they validated their own results.. until a competitor happens to notice and calls shenanigans and then it's discovered that nearly every VW-affiliated brand has been doing this for years.... but government regulation is unnecessary because climate change is a sham, and besides, increased CO2 levels is good for crops, and aside from skiing, winter sucks, so it's all good. Let's get rid of regulation and let all manufacturers perform their own testing with absolutely no oversight or spot-checking of their honesty... because corporations naturally do what is right!/s
Right.. just like Rand Paul reputedly started his own certification board (National Ophthalmology Board) to get certified as an ophthalmologist. All a company needs to do is incorporate their own fraudulent lab and slap a certification on it, and conveniently "lose" the test data in a hard drive crash. But don't worry, the certification is valid. Trust us!
In many conservatives' minds, it is, because they are obviously co-conspirators in the liberal conspiracy. All too many conservatives disregard anything that disagrees with the tinfoil hat set's holy trinity (Limbaugh, Beck, and Jones) because obviously so-called "legitimate news sources" are trying to hide the truth... the truth that gay and nonwhite people are in cahoots with the lizard people who run the Illuminati and therefore the shadow government.
Yes, some people really believe that.
It's maddening, and no amount of evidence will prove to them that "crooked Hillary" isn't, and that Trump isn't a saint. Oh, and the videos of Trump admitting to sexual assault, bragging about ripping off small businesses deeming it "good business," and so forth are faked, just like the moon landing.
> The father had legitimate concerns about how she would live after 200 years if she was revived (cited in another post of mine below)
You know, there is this newfangled thing called school, and at 14 years of age, the subjects she will have covered already will still apply. She will be able to take history, algebra, geometry and trig, and intro science classes in high school.
Do I think they will be able to revive a human after being frozen for 200 years? Not really... but it's worth trying.
That is exactly what we are afraid of. Trump is just a stupid greedy trust fund brat who is famous for being a bully and really doesn't have what it takes to lead.. while Pence is truly scary in his zealotry and bigotry (never mind that his doctrine directly counterfeits the bible he claims to believe)
Doesn't a flight certificate still require quite a bit of ground school and then 40 hours of flight time with an instructor before you fly solo to qualify JUST for VFR, and then a whole bunch more to gain IFR certs, which is when you would be qualified to engage an autopilot? Pilots are slightly more clueful than the average yokel who barely passes the written test for their license and then their practical test consists of literally a drive around the block and then "parallel parking" where there are no other vehicles on the road. Drivers' Ed is not required... at least here in America.
I know in Germany that it's a bit more rigorous, but not nearly as intensive as training to earn a flight certificate so it doesn't surprise me that the people who do the bare minimum to qualify for a drivers' license might think that a vehicles "autopilot" (or even cruise control) means that you can watch a movie or take a nap.
Laws are backed by guns, tanks, bombers, and so on. In that case the cost of doing business can mean prison or death (depending on how intently you resist to continue fucking up the environment) rather than just writing out a small check.
It is exactly like having a turtle who discovered he could fly by throwing himself at the ground and missing and discovered he had leg-rockets. Why did he do that? Because he ran out of movies to watch on Netflix and is too large to fit into a VW Beetle, so he was unable to drive to the Library of Congress to try to find something to watch (as he is a typical libertarian he doesn't realize that you can't actually take the movies out of that library). Upon discovering that he became so angry about overreaching government that he breathed fire, burning down the Library of Congress and everything and everyone around it, like a typical Libertarian.
1. Trump revealed nothing about the policies except that he has the best policy and no one can implement policy better than he does 2. Democrats threw away the best candidate of the whole race (Sanders) in favor of a highly qualified and successful, but wholly unlikable candidate (Clinton) 3. Pundits who pander to the tin foil hat set (Limbaugh, Beck, and Jones) committed character assassination by starting a lot of baseless conspiracy theories that neocons believe despite their having been debunked many times by many credible sources and necons are WILLFULLY ignorant because they disregard any legitimate media source, the courts, the FBI all as co-conspirators 4. All too many who saw Trump for what he is voted third party "to make a statement" and insisted they're "not wasting a vote" because "trump has no chance of winning." Well, as it turns out, and as many people warned, third-party votes caused the upset in this election. I agree with their sentiment and I have voted third party, but never when the stakes were as high as they were for this election.
Now, we've got an admitted sexual predator, draft dodger, old-guard soviet communist sympathizer, proven crook, proven compulsive liar who hasn't got a clue how government works (as evidenced by "why didn't you fix it" to hillary in regard to the budget; um, all spending bills MUST originate in the House of Representatives, and she was a senator) who has promised to oppress and persecute minorities, promised to break a large number of treaties, and has pledged to destroy the environment by eliminating the EPA, as president-elect.
This is a very fucked up situation we're in. When the stakes are this high you don't vote third party to "make a statement"; you vote for the lesser of the two major evils in the election.
The only problem with Hillary is that despite her accomplishments and her wonderful charity work, she is a very unlikable person and does not know how to play a crowd, while Trump excels at people chessing.
He also conflated "faggot" with "bisexual" since he obviously acknowledged you've fucked at least some women, even if "a relatively small number" of women. It just goes to show is intelligence level and his persistent cognitive dissonance.
"An astounding waste of bandwidth but it doesn't matter."
You say that as if bandwidth is a resource that is limited like fresh water, fossil fuels, etc.
FWIW, CDs are made like that. DVDs are not, so, I think you're.. stretching the truth a bit.

And people will go up to the ATM machine and punch in their PIN numbers to withdraw the cash to pay for these LCD displays!
Sorry you made it too easy! ;)

it's different in that this is actually a scientific endeavour. The question is how can she be frozen without damaging cellular membranes?

In the '80s they were known as QuantumLink, an online service for Commodore 64 and 128 users. They did not become AOL until 1991.

So they would make $300+ per iphone rather than $500+ per iphone. It's still over a 100% markup, so I fail to see much of a problem.
> Finally a cra for us dyslexics!
Q. Do you have dyslexia
A. No, I don't have sex daily. Who has time for that? /sorry not sorry

Does that clear things up for you?
Don't confuse him with facts, logic, and reason, because it's unfair to fight someone who is unarmed. ;)
