Sorry, a bit off topic, I was assuming it was my ISP being slow, but I noticed google searches say they take ~0.5s now. I'm sure they used to take ~0.02s before. Is this because they have been continuously adding features (however minor some maybe)? Well, just a bit of a rant, it's just not quite as instant as it used to be. I just tried Yahoo, took 0.15s, and MSN took 0.03s, that used to be one of the advantages of google because it was faster I assumed (maybe because it didn't have some useless portal like Yahoo did then).
Dunno why yours dont play wiht vlc, I have an athlon 3000, and 1080i ts files from newsgroups run fine in vlc, and with interlacing on (although some interlacing modes slowed it down)

Why would he upload it to edonkey, isn't that just like kazaa or some shit? Wouldn't there be better places to upload it to if he knew what he was doing?
Although on second thoughts, it would be good for making movies. With quake 3 engine games it takes a lot of time to grab the depth of field (forgot the name of the hook program todo it). (Incidentally it can do motion blur with 1000fps samples- but I'm not sure how well that goes with the DOF simultaneously)
What the fuck is the point of these effects in a multiplayer game? After ooing and ahing for 2 minutes everyones gona turn it off so it doesn't get in the way. Why dont they spend their time adding these to a SP game.
Older people's eyesight is usually worse (duh). Even just a few days ago my lecturer couldn't read something I couldn't be arsed to print out properly- looked okay for me. And then when it was printed bigger, he still got his glasses out. So I could see how they couldn't tell the difference.
