I'm not sure actually, hopefully someone else knows.
I was jokingly wondering because whenever I've seen a hurricane on the news that's devestated a town, the houses always seem to be made out of wood. I wondered why that was considering the seeming frequency of high winds. Maybe they simply don't show footage of the stronger houses.
It maybe the case most laws are about that, I don't know. But I was thinking about peoples own opinions on free speech. Some may be absolutist, others may think there should be restrictions on speech e.g. encouragement of terrorism.
As I understand it they did not have any binding contract they were literally just speaking to people on the Internet, like they might anywhere else.
I think it was completely unethical and immoral. But I think peoples disagreement comes from their definition of free speech. I think that there might as well be no restrictions on free speech, but the way people can get information, for example stealing it, would be a prosecutable crime (maybe in the same way some people do not view blackmail as a crime as it gives the victim a chance). However, other people may think this is theft, under false pretenses, if you will. This is akin to walking around town in drag, getting peoples names, numbers and pictures of their dicks (WTF?) and then telling other people about it. Therefore I _think_ these people should just act more responsible (hey and the guy who started it too).
It is interesting the responses here and on digg where anyone that said this guy should not be sued were modded down, a lot!. People should take some responsibility, for once! Yes, he did a "bad" thing but is this not a free speech issue, it is not like they were in a binding contract, or the information was stolen. Yes it was taken under false pretences, but it is effectively just some people chatting on the Internet.
That will be much better than uppipng the resolution a bit. 10 years on from DVDs release what do we have? Twice the resoultion or something? Not very progressive.
I did have a quick (teeeeeny) search once, but didn't come up with anything?
KPDF seems quite fast on my laptop, but is there a faster one for Windows than the Adobe one?
It really seems quite retarded it takes such a long time to load up just to view some fonts and pictures? Maybe I'm missing something, but usually that's waht PDFs are?
Only fucktards who leave piles of sleaveless discs around need cadies. Do you hear people complain about CDs or DVDs, because they do not have a caddie? no. And if people are using computers in dusty environments - well they should have thought about that before buying a cd/dvd/bluray drive.
Spottswoode: From what I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.N.C.E has gathered, it would be 9/11 times 100.
Gary Johnston: 9/11 times a hundred? Jesus, that's...
Spottswoode: Yes, 91,100.
etc..
Spottswoode: That was bad I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E., very bad I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E.
Would all this stuff be sparked by something else, sometime in the near future?
And, on another note, I wonder how many of the protestors have actualy seen the images, reminds me of the Jerry Springer show thing, most of the protestors hadn't actualy seen the pantomine. Then again, in some countries blasphemey is punishable by death.
Is it a big bloated puffer jacket like itunes? I dunno what its like on the mac, but it seems so completely bloated on the PC, and requires quicktime. I mean- 20mb for a fucking mp3 player, and then you have to install quicktime as well.
Now your stuck in a loop for the rest of your life, you should trick people into not complaining, without making it look like your complaining yourself.
I would be hypocritical to say I do not like advertising because of the partially free stuff it funds, like TV channels and certain webpages. But, I can't think of an advert that has persuaded me to buy something, they have made me aware of something- which is obviously their point, maybe I've answered my own questions but a lot of adverts are for a load of fucking bolocks. Anything I buy is either from the shelf, or I've done some research into it (something expensive).
well wtf
First time I've heard of it.

In fact, we build our houses out of bricks, while Americans rebuild their wooden houses every year after the hurricane season!

Oops, I meant I think this is a free speech issue.

I certainly thought the Dreamcast and N64 were good consoles, and they died when the new games became boring.
just make parents more aware of Ritalout.
No, in the UK we drive on the right side, ohhh...
I don't think people have to think, as long as there's idiots on both sides too balance it out.
Thanks for that tip, now I've lost my house...and my Internet connection.
To me, it always sounded like it was behind me. I wondered if it was ever going to go in front. Incredible all the same tho.

maybe it works along these lines, because there is a bit of depth information, it can kinda-sorta of be reconstructed- but not to any extent where it would be useful (as far as i can see)
