Who knows all I know is its blocked and thats lame! Cause it makes everyone money! This shit is so easy to stop, hell even my college does machine blocking, if you connect to our wifi on campus your machine will be directed to a browser window that runs a scan to make sure you have all current updates, virus protection, and that your machine is not infected. If you have an issue with one of those 3 then your machine is blocked and cannot login till the problem has been rectified.
ISP's don't do this not because it would be too difficult for them to deploy or users to use, its just not cost effective for them, hence they make more money from infected users than clean ones.
Your privacy and safety online is not a concern, only the bottom line.
Isn't it when you make your entire facebook profile private no one can see it? Right? Regardless if you have an account or not? So if this is the case why do stories keep popping up about law enforcement busting people and stuff like this countries scanning profiles? Am I retarded? Prop 19 is bad for Californian Medical Marijuana users, it will reduce their allotted amount that they are allowed to posses, it will increase the current price of marijuana, if it is massed produced then the many strains and potency will be flushed down the toilet! Not to mention that CA already has decriminalized an ounce or less making prop 19 useless and for all those idiot morons out there spouting the taxes it will bring in, um if you are allowed to grow your own, what fucking taxes will you be paying? NONE! Oh then there is that beautiful part that allows each county in CA to choose to enforce the law, so if they choose to say no on 19 then it will be illegal for anyone over 21 or medical users in that town, great job!

Other than it being built from Linux, what openness is there with Android? Seems like a locked down proprietary software like OSX. Google controls every aspect of your phone from remote install/uninstall of apps to locked down search providers. I am avid Linux user and Google supporter but I see Android as OSX for phones, not very open just built from openness.
How about giving us blank useless devices that the user must install an OS of their choosing? Not only would I have a far superior phone than most, it would weed out the idiots, like PC's shouldn't come with any OS installed just a blank drive with a disc of Windows or Linux that they must install! I am tired of having to have a license to drive while millions of idiots get behind "the wheel" of the pc everyday and cause havoc for me and others, now phones are becoming more like pc's therefore idiots automatically assume that I and other tech guys can magically fix their phones that they break, fuck you!
With all the adblocking software, no scripting, and other misc Firefox plugins I have no ads from facebook, let alone any other page. Firefox is set to delete cookies and BS on exit and I keep my machine clean with bleachbit.
Facebook allows me to connect with lots of people I never would see, like buddies in the Army based in Japan for instance or friends in New York etc, etc.
I hide all the annoying spam adds for peoples stupid farms, I have convinced many of my Facebook friends and family to stop playing those games and to take similar precautions.
