Clearly state in proper English "Do you have an A+ certification from Comptia?"
If they answer "Yes" Make them show it to you - if they won't, presume they don't have it and skip to below. Otherwise, congratulations, you've found a reputable maintinence tech.
If they answer "No"
1. Walk away without saying anything more. If they boisterously laughed or asked you what A+ certification is, pelt them in the abdomen with your right knee, then proceed to step one above.
In order to ensure the security and continuing stability of the world's information... the internet will be reorganized into the first... GOOGLE EMPIRE! For safe, and secure... data!
Think about it. Users are required to even submit an email address on Wikipedia, just a username and password to create an account. If everyone creates and sticks with an account, a pseudo-community can develop, as everyone is identifiable. I think it's actually a great idea.
By the same token, AOL is decrepit and dead. I take pity on the people who pay twenty-something a month for terrible dialup and bloatware.
On the AOL subject, I tried it out about two months ago now, and it's more bloatware then ever. It's amazing as well that my modem's transmit/receive lights twinkled even when I wasn't doing anything...
Actually, when mouselook first came out, it annoyed the hell out of me. The first time I noticed it, Duke Nukem 3d, it wasn't required, and was toggled with the 'u' key. Coincidentally, the 'i' key was necessary for something else, so I'd always get into firefights and die because I'd hit it while my fingers were in the "old school" DooM-ing positions (arrows, control fires, alt strafes) and have the entire control scheme change.
As a huge proponent against piracy, I installed the Genuine Advantage - thinking to myself that I'll proudly show I'm a legitimate customer. However, I find this recent disclosure most disturbing - is it not the responsibility of industry icons such as Microsoft to show that preventing piracy and so forth can be done legally and honestly?
Where is the professionalism and courtesy that such a world-renowned company should be showing its customers?
I just got my first job, and now I won't be opening either of my accounts with BoA.
Hopefully US Bank is independent of the BoA empire, as this is absolutely disgusting.
Movies are considered 'socially acceptable' to the current generation of pointless people. At least the next generation of pointless people will have played Grand Theft Auto so all those pesky homicide laws go away.
I don't believe that becoming a computer expert for any portion of the government under Bush's executive branch can allow you to display your self as a computer expert. I mean, I got my A+ in the mail last week and I got a call to head the White House IT department.
Being that two current-gen 7800 512MB's cost around $1,400 alone, this setup is going to be at least$2,200. Hopefully current-gen mobos will support it.
Better open that second savings account...
Coconut Monkey
Yeah, but kids don't know this stuff or don't want the attention.. That's why schools get away with it.
You are my hero for writing that. *bow*
I'd want a jinx t-shirt with him quoted on it. I would buy it in a hearbeat

Clearly, Microsoft is the Borg and Google is the Flood - learn your nerdferences!
Why don't these two companies just improve their respective products...?
Yeah, but it's not enabled. In my opinion, this creates a good open site while still allowing for a minimal amount of accountability.
Sorry... small mistype

Sorry folks, the preview button and I are having relationship problems

Maybe I should just buy a Mac?

The Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I've just received word that the Emporer has dissolved the council permanently.
