That is the entire point of it. If you have a desktop running virtualized on a blade and it runs slow you are doing something really, really CPU intensive. A task that powerful would lock your desktop anyway.
The original article is just arguing for enforced liberal bias. This guy just wants wikipedia to become the Soviet Union which gave him wet dreams as a boy.
I agree with you and sortius_nod, this country is a fucking nanny state. We have governments who insist on appeasing a bunch of scared old fuddy-duddies. At this rate every corner will have a padded edge, driving will be at the fixed speed of 40K everywhere and a curfew will apply to everyone under the age of 30(those over that age don't need a curfew, they never go out at night). 1984 comes in a maid's outfit under the guise of fixing your buster.
This country needs to get some fucking dignity and remember where it put it's balls.
In Korea, only old people slashdot slashdot.
The memes are funny. The insightful comments are insightful. The funny comments are funny, the trolls are trolls. Seems reseting slashdot fixed everything. The entire world is doomed!
Eventually -if we reach back far enough- we may find the fabled first, firstpost. Who knows what wisdom from the ages it will endow us with. That insightful individual is probably high up in the realm of the rich and powerful now.
I hate people like you who make comments like this. You are posting on slashdot yet you seem to think someone cares for your opinion and that you are not wasting time for simply being there. You sir, are a fucking idiot in thinking slashdot is adding anything of value to your pathetic existence. IMO your time is worth jack, that is why you are here and why you will probably contemplate replying to my post.
Because on paper you failed maths. If you have ever called Microsoft for support you would know the difference between a support contract and a software license. It's not a hard sell at all.
It's bunk that Linux is harder to test. You just require versions of the OS and certain patches; or do you test every single service pack of XP with all video card driver versions?
I think there was a preview in the 98 start up screen. Windows on a cloud and everything. If they are bringing it back it will be more amazing than the massive hint they gave in the XP default background.
Last time I checked the brain had a lot to do with biology. Would developing weapons to manipulate multiple brains constitute developing biological weapons of mass destruction.
Markets which close because of open source tools are akin to weavers complaining about mechanical looms in days of old. Technology advances and no one wants to buy the old way any more. It is not a bad thing, it's progress. The less companies are paying for software the more they can spend on expanding their products and making money instead of sinking money into re-inventing the wheel.
Having been to mentioned atolls I would like to mention, that you too sire are a troll. A troll of an even lower order, the ignorant troll. See the earth has a satellite we lovingly refer to as the moon. This moon's gravitational pull is strong enough to affect the movement of our oceans on a twice daily basis with it's rotation. This rising and falling of the ocean is the real problem. Half a foot is the difference between arable and non-arable land in the Bouganville archipelago. Food is already being difficult to produce and some islands have already been abandoned because there is nowhere to grow foods (like taro or sweet potato). Basically, if you are a poor Subsistence farmer and you no longer have somewhere to farm, you die. Respectfully sir, please exercise restraint of your keyboard as your response is trolling at best and your ignorance is showing.
You are talking out your arse. The other part of mdadm is multipath. Multipath is designed and programed for that specific role of joining many iSCSI and FC attached storage devices. Please take your ignorance and fud and go back to sleep.
Did someone hit a nerve? You better get back to playing WoW before you start twitching again.

That's fine, but what if you live in a first world country and have flies on your face? What then?
Oi! I'm Australian you insensitive clod.
Bullshit. My time is not free.

You know what? I think your post is actually the smartest in this thread.
You're right. Nobody should ever check IDs for anything because they can all be faked.
In fact, why even have laws? Terrorists can just go around shooting everybody anyway.
For an anonymous coward you raise an insightful point.
Sorry kiddo, they closed that loophole in India. Many countries have banned prepaid phones now.
The problem is the heroin business doesn't have any senators in its pocket. Yet.
You mean anymore, right? The United States used to export heroin once upon a time.

I'm not sure animation do get stuck. I recognise that players not being able to clip through objects or other players is a feature, not a bug.

Docbook XML uses MathML inputs. MathML is a lot of voodoo from experience but not as much as LaTeX

Except one of course, this is slashdot you're amongst friend and you don't have to hide it.
Actually most major financial companies already run entirely on open source servers. Maybe you need to get a job with one and find out.
I have a Motorola E6 in my pocket that calls your bluff.
Can a windows user just switch to OSX without a learning curve? No.
Do windows users switch to Liunx and OSX? Yes.
I see a lot of words but very little actual thought.
