Not quite lifted, but heavily modified. Per wikipedia the policy is now done on a province level with different rules in different provinces, along with many loopholes and exceptions.
That rule applies to urban centers, in the article it said they would travel 30km to the internet cafe so I imagine this totally fictitious couple would be in rural China and therefore not restrained by that law.
Yea, this looks like an urban myth to me also, right up there with the guy who died after playing for 72 hours straight.
Am I the only one that sees the blurb at the top is about asking some guy at Wired questions, yet all the comments are about low powered chips used in servers?
How many infected windows installs have you found where Norton took a head-shot, or some kind of AV *was* installed at one time but got smoked?
Normally it is because the AV subscription hasn't been paid up. I don't think I have seen an infection on a computer with a working anti-virus.
Then again if you are basing this on Norton, well yea then All AV's are crap if you only judge it by Norton, they may have name recognition, but that is about all.
Hurricanes hit coastal area's and sometimes a little inland before they die, but there is no way in hell that Arizona is going to be hit by a hurricane.
For a hurricane to hit Arizona it would have to traverse the gulf of Mexico, pass over both Texas and New Mexico. Moving across land seriously diminishes a hurricanes strength, there is no way a hurricane would even reach New Mexico let alone Arizona.
I could see that to a point, but this looks way beyond that. From looking at some of the debris there, there are chunks of AC ducting from the walls on the street, pieces of desks, and parts of interior walls. Also the higher floors are more damaged than the lower walls.
This one has some good pictures, and yes people are still reporting that it may have been a car bomb. I have my doubts, but I'm known to be wrong.
Why make an Indie game section? Indie isn't a category, it's a development path.
By separating them from other sections they get less exposure unless someone specifically looks for it in the indie section. If I'm looking for a racing game I am not going to first look under racing, and then search under indie for any other racing game that might be interesting to me.
If indie gets it's own category it will be the special ed of categories.
If it does not get it's own category then indie will battle head to head with the big dogs, and that is how good indie games will get noticed.
Is Vermont storing a database of where and when everyone's license plates have been scanned, or is it they just have scanners that connect to a database that lets the cops know that the car is stolen or being searched for in some way?
Perhaps the insurance company should have had an audit done so that they would know what they were insuring.
When I get my car insured one of the things that the insurance company does is take pictures of my car so they know what they are insuring.
If the insurance company did not state how or to what degree the website was to be secured is it fair for them to say after the fact that they will not pay?
As someone else mentioned the Federal Reserve does overnight loans for banks and that if they are not paid back that day then there is a new overnight loan the next day, and the next, and the next, etc. Which really makes the totals add up quick even if the amount borrowed was not much initially.
And these are Loans, not gifts, they get paid back.
Updates sure were a bitch, though. Downloading SP1, 2 and 3 took ages even on my 10 meg connection
Too bad no one introduced you to Nlite. You could have created a custom install disc with the service packs already in, as well as drivers and other goodies.

Have you read some of his posting history?
They are interesting in a way I am not able to explain yet. Not quite a schizophrenic mind set, but definitely not part of our reality.

Aye, this is setting off my bullshit detector.
So they had three children in China, and sold them all without the government sticking their nose into their business?
Back before MIR got de-orbited I seem to recall some billionaire trying to buy it for space tourism.
The ISS would work better than the MIR for that purpose and by 2020 there will be better options to get people into LEO.
Neither are coherent topics.

We need this more than any other technology right now, and it's a solvable problem
Is it in the same category of solvable problems that Fusion is in?
Funny not only can you turn off the instant search, it is even off by default, which means you or someone who uses your phone turned it on.

Not sure why they even bothered mentioning growing food in the greenhouse, they stated the temperature may hit 176 to 194 Fahrenheit.

So what you are saying is that your accusation was completely baseless, thank you.
Anything you do to piss off a cop will not work out well for yourself.
If you make his sensor go off because of a sticker then prepare to be investigated for interfering in police business or some other horseshit.

Suspended/uninsured drivers cause most of the accidents.
Citation Please
The car was damaged by the explosion, but if you look at the building stuff was blown out, not in. That car was not the bomb.
This was a very big bomb, if the bomb had been in a car there would be little left of the car.
Do they use gas heating in buildings that large?
Devils advocate here.

Thought he was asking a question, didn't even bother looking at the link since it looked to be a sig.
Here is what a Trillion looks like.

Which if you checked their website you would have seen that they have ubuntu 6 and ubuntu 8 available.
