Do you read everything on slashdot? There is a lot of info here and loads of comments. I don't have a job and I still don't feel that I have time to read everything here. Wake Up. Post it on monster or careerbuilder or something. We'd probably see it then. It would be one of the few that actually said what company it is for.

I received a call from a company called Blue Jungle http://www.bluejungle.com/ in San Mateo, CA. One of the first questions they asked was what was my VISA status. I suppose my last name isn't 'American' sounding. I was promised an interview which turned into a phone interview which then never came to be. They give me the run around after several calls and emails later. They say they will send me an email with instructions for the interview, nice trick.

yes.. glad to see a comment about the extension :)

I haven't tried it but from TFA it seems a bit hassling to me. Slow startup time and have to install the extension in the first place on all the computers you use... if you can. Most of the features I don't really find desirable anyway (bookmarks or homepage might be it). This is however another little move to get things off the local computer and onto the web, sort of like Writely and the whole software as a service thing. Maybe someday we'll just have a bunch of dummy terminals all over and won't hardly need our own computer.

Right now I have a simple page of links that I use as my homepage, and I can use it or edit it from any computer, not just ones with the extension, or firefox for that matter. It's pretty fast too since it's just links (and a search on top). That's good enough for me. I made it with my humble project - http://www.ngumbi.com/

"I don't want to use Google to look up political stuff and google.cn is a lot faster from over here." TRANSLATION: Google.cn is faster and that's a good excuse I can use to avoid saying that I try to stay out of politics as much as possible. It's the way of life now for Chinese to not question the government, avoid politics, ignore bad things, and SELF-CENSOR! Well to some degree the Chinese people are "programmed" to not ask political questions, not question anything, and to just accept censorship as a way of life, they just ignore it. Now do you understand why? Since you have a good Chinese friend, you should know this! Have you ever tried to talk politics with her? Some I have talked to just pretend that I didn't say anything. I have a friend in Guangzhou that I've gotten some perspective on this from. I've caught her self-censoring.

People go to jail for talking in their blogs about it so maybe someone else needs to talk for them don't you think???
