  1. Deja Vu or telepathy? on Virtual Reality Gaming System Tests for Telepathy · · Score: 1

I have had numerous experiences prior to ever doing any mind bending drugs. WHich to me were unexplainable. Formost which comes to mind is deja vu like experience I had with my mother 2 times both regarding food. she walks out of kitchen and said my name I responded with green beans, She looked shocked and asked me how I knew. I explained it as deja vu. I could feel it like watching a movie. 3-4 years later same thing happened I knew from the placement of me and where she was at what she was going to ask me. I answered before she asked and again Shock. I believe there's a connection there I don't know that we'll ever force it or have it on demand but something in us can read events or enough of life to make extremely educated guesses.Telepathy isn't so far from that. Unfortunately for me I seem to have less of those experiences since I turned 20 and i'm 38 now. I used to dream some awesome stuff too.. but I think some of the drugs I was stupid enough to do may have wiped those away. "Kids DO NOT DO psychedelics!" I still dream but I remember less than 1 dream a week and then it's only a feeling not a clear picture. Meanwhile Xenu trapped all these bad beings on earth that'll cost me 285,000 to clear out of my system. So I gotta go find some moola !!

  2. Re:Expect rebates to be lower on OfficeMax Drops Mail-in Rebates · · Score: 1

I have read a few articles over the last year about how many rebate companies are struggling because the amount of rebates turned in had went up SO significantly they were unable to make a decent profit. In times past the amount of people turning them in was 15-20 per 100, Now because of the prevalance of even TIDE having a MIR the amount of rebates sent in is hovering around 50 and higher per 100. I thought I had seen it all when I seen PEPSI with a mail in rebate. I was totally WTF! Give it up. I HATE rebates and would rather a limited amount of a product be available at the lowest price, than to have to work with exaggerated pricing for some supposed super duper deal. I have seen 250g hard drives for 19.99 after instant 20.00 off and 3 MIR's for the rest of the amount with the supposed "normal" retail amount exceeded current newegg pricing by 50.00. That's utter BS imho. Lets just be real.. you make a profit.. and you don't make your customers work their ass off for you to do it. As a previous poster mentioned we the customer pay taxes on the Pre-MIR amounts and if a drive is marked up 50.00 over somewhere else's price do you think the government of the state you are in has any one who's going to say.. well thats just wrong? It pays the state more money to not regulate Rebates so they have no interest in doing so. I know Boston or MA as a whole has passed laws stating MIR price cannot be bigger on an advertisement than the Out the door price of an item. I wish they'd do that here in Cali. Also there has been known instances of rebate companies automatically rejecting a percentage of rebates turned in.. regardless of how well you do your paperwork. I can guarantee if you send a registered letter with your rebate paperwork in it.. You'll get your rebate :D assuming you cross your eye's and dot your tees.. hahaha.

Just an FYI, But any Dell xp install disks will work in other dell machines. You can typically download DELL Xp disks through usenet and since you own a license there's no issue with it. I've installed many installations from such disks and they work fine.. and since they are tied to the Dell bios you don't need a license key. Just a method of keeping a complete bootable install that can be managed and mult-os'd.

But the truth is.. MS, and other content providers are trying to make pc's as easy to operate as a television with as little control over the content as we have over TV now. I don't care if your MS or linux or a mozilla browser user.. you have wizards upon wizards and people never have to learn anything to use the internet "have you installed Acrobat reader in Windows lately? How about yahoo toolbar, how about our photocrap suite ooobie doobie shizzle just click next". It's all about getting you hooked up to the pipe and feeding you this and that "It used to be we'd have to have some documentation in some cases actual books to use and install our programs" While a good bit of you myself included may have a clue about the internet. Computers will never be built to our skillset again "they once were to a point" Everytime I install a new program it's giving me less and less control over what I do. AVG JOE USER likes this and prays that all software is so easy and forgiving."never mind that it just put in 400,000 registry links that somehow the uninstaller will miss later" So when AJU pops into crax.fat.happy.vir.org and gets some crap popping up to install he's like sure thats fine okie dokey CLICK! We're not the target of this crap.. mom/pop/uncle joe/ is the target because they don't have to know sh!t about using a pc because they just turn it on and it works. "ala TV" I've got people at work who've thrown out 2.8ghz pc's and bought new ones because they were too slow. This isn't their fault This is because they were told how easy the internet is and just click yes if you need a plugin etc. They've either been told by a friend to go ahead or told by a relative who's the infamous son in law that knows alot about computers that it was ok. It will never get any better until MS or some other content provider type controls everything you see and do on the internet. That or we require a certain amount of training before any user gets on the net. "we need a sandbox internet for training them hehe" All you need to watch TV is a TV.. all you need for the internet is a computer.. simple right? Lets make a rule that all advertisement related to Computers explicitly state these devices are for technically knowledgeable persons and should not be bought frivously to just put up a myspace page for little suzie. Alas.. that will never happen and big biz will continue to program to people without a lick of intelligence and slashdot will be here to cry and whine and piss and moan about the lack of control we have or laugh at the peons who can't seem to keep the spyware off their machines. /end rant/reply hehe.
