It's likely that the new charge storage system won't simply be a drop in replacement for your current batteries. It will probably require new control and charging electronics. This isn't just a battery, it delivers varying amounts of voltage depending on it's charge.

I think its funny that telcos don't guarantee full availability of phone service in a certain area. For example if my whole neighborhood picked up the phone at the same time some people wouldn't be able to get through, telcos aren't required to have a line for each person at the same time.

Its funny actually, in the SIFT algorithm (detects scale invariant keypoints in an image, used for panorama stitching, computer vision, etc), it uses a Gaussian blur as part of the detection process. It uses multiple levels to better find invariant keypoints. While havening the unblurred image certainly helps, its not necessary.

I think this is actually true in some cases. I once worked on some 2.4ghz radios from a certain vendor, and if you forgot the admin password you could expose them to the net and they could "unlock" them (YIKESOMG). They also had a version where you gave them the MAC of the radio and they gave you a special "unlock" password over the phone. Yea. It wasn't even random either, it was an english word iirc. The world of proprietary network gear = ugh. I prefer building them myself using Soekris or similar.
