More relevant to this suit is the fact that the Dual-Shock controllers have pressure-sensitive analog buttons, a feature which was used in only a few games, including GT4. See wikipedia.
If you, the copyright holder, authorize yourself to bypass the lock, then bypassing is not circumvention.
You are not the copyright holder if you have bought a song/CD: the copyright holder is the artist who recorded the song, and/or the record label. If the musician/record label hasn't given you authorization to circumvent the DRM, then you are not allowed to.
Gamespot's article states that "Sakurai said his team will try to take the game online, but he thinks it would be a hard to make four-player online work."
I think much of the appeal of this game would be lost if online weren't supported.
Also from the article:
"He then dropped a hint, saying gamers may not want to throw away their old GameCube controllers, which the Wii supports." Hmmm...
Are the various 802.11 "Pre-n" routers compatible with the draft standard? That would be unfortunate if they aren't, because they are rather expensive compared to b/g ones.
"the bank's site also "reads" the TPM chip in your computer to determine that it's really you." And you tell the computer that it is you by..."something as simple as a PIN number." So you know someone's password, and everyone sees you as "that person."
I hope that banks don't take this to mean that they can remove any other safety nets. I know your password, and the bank knows that I am you.
How will access to this chips id code be restricted? What if I read your id from my website, and use spoof it when I access your bank account?
I use these lyric sites for the same purpose. After I hear a song on the radio that I like, I search for whatever lyrics I can remember from the song and then I purchase the song from the iTunes Music Store. I think that it would be an excellent addition to the store if Apple supplied a "Search lyrics" option and provided song lyrics with purchased music.
name them well, and the code becomes drastically more readable. Don't use ambiguous abbreveations. Set up a system for naming functions based on what they do. Also, in C++, include the variable names in function prototypes, even though they are ignored by the compiler.
bool descriptiveFunctionName ( int lowerBound, int upperBound );// Returns true if... False if...
By naming functions and variables clearly, less comments are required to completely explain what a variable/function does.
But since when is "Microsoft spying on people" news?
"We have nothing to fear but fear itself."
Bush's version: "We have... to fear."
NOOOOOOOOOO...
oh. Death of privacy. Nevermind, no big deal.
Did you hear: there's a nasty file-eating virus going around right now. Sorry, teacher.

In Soviet Russia, your TiVo watches YOU!
because I don't see any other way of saturating a 1.2 Gb/s connection upload, even if your entire street shares it...
well, I guess Bittorrent might.
I ask because I setup a Gentoo-based webserver in my house but can't open it to the world because it's against my ISP's Terms of Service.
I would like to see solid evidence that they are effective and that they eliminate a threat before the government pours billions into this technology.
What if those who don't submit crash reports don't answer polls, either?
Don't you mean moon shattering?
If they bundled Duck Hunt...
/me remembers the last time he played Duck Hunt... 5 days ago!
What a great game, and what an amazing (potential) incentive for buying the Wii.
All of Nintendo's consoles have sold for $200 in the US, and I don't see any reason for them to change that now.

It would be interesting for a change. A sex change that is!
The second link looks PhotoShop'd: the "x" button on the bottum is off-center, and the analog stick looks like it was copy/pasted from something else.

"provide a hardened shell around the operating system but the low upgrade levels remains a disappointment."
Damn user error! You have to do work to get a safe system!
All the companies reviewed in this article have inexplicably been shutdown by an virus, called RIAA.pwn, which uses the Sony-created rootkit.

Could /.'s servers handle the combined bandwith-demand of 20 million nerds accessing the site all at once?

for up-and-coming artists? Music companies will be able to use this to pay artists less because the computer doesn't like their music.
MAL (Music AnaLyzer): "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I don't like that."
