  2. On the contrary, there are very few people that don't support providing help to those in need. However, there are many who do not believe that is a responsibility of the government. That is the fundamental disagreement. Helping the less fortunate does NOT in any way require the use of tax dollars.

I find the Apple TV 4 ideal. There are clients for everything except Amazon Prime. I've written several apps of my own for it. Siri rocks for getting to content. The iPad and iPhone apps to control it are slick. It's pretty much perfect.

This really is a serious issue. Even if the system is not damaged during an emergency, it can be overwhelmed and we lose the ability to communicate. There are multiple sensors and the system is able to handle some degradation. The engineering required to make this work is well understood and has been in use for military and aerospace application for a long time. Properly implemented, these systems are not that delicate.

Not necessarily. Lidar can use multiple beams and multiple wavelengths to work around this.

"Velodyne's LiDAR sensors work well in snow, sleet, and rain. The multiple beam approach of Velodyne's LiDAR sensors with laser beams with millions of laser beams at different angles enables to find "holes" in-between the snowflakes to "see" the environment. An inferior LiDAR with only one or a few laser beams would not work as well as one with 16, 32 or 64 laser beams."
