I think #3 has been finally solve by financial institutions here in the US
1 - Copy your ex employer product
2 - Get sued into bankruptcy
3 - Receive "Bail Out" package from US Treasury in the name of "Economic Recovery"
4 - Profit ???
1) If you RTFA, you will note that the RFID tag is only readable from "Up to four feet away". Somehow I don't think that really counts as a great distance. You are going to notice if someone walks up near you and starts wanding you to get an RFID signal. In practical applications, the RFID tag is often (although not always) little better than a barcode tag due to interference from nearby radio sources and environmental signal blockage. This is a big reason why it hasn't seen widespread adoption yet. It costs much more than comparable technologies but only adds a small value.
True, you may notice if smoeone walks up and starts "wanding" you, but what you may not notice is the RFID reader integrated into the metal detectors at schools and airports or in the anti-theft devices at the doors of most major retail stores. Imagine some time in the future, when RFID readers have gone down in price, an array of readers on store shelves tracking every movement you make as you shop. I'm not trying to be alarmist, just pointing out how someone doesn't necessarily have to "wand" you to read your RFID tat. But then, if you do get an RFID tat then it's your own fault for setting yourself up for that kind of monitoring - it's not like someone can secretly tattoo you...or can they?
You need to get over yourself. Linux isn't a religion or a way of life, it's just an operating system.
There's no such thing as an "anit-linux" crowd, unless you happen to be one of the big shots at Micro$oft. There's the "Linux crowd", then there's the "I'm doing just fine with what I have and don't have any reason to change" crowd. Why don't you try educating them instead of ridiculing them. It's fanatical-zealot attitudes exactly like this that keep me, and I'm sure plenty of others, from adopting linux.
I'm amazed these things are just coming around now. I remember seeing them years ago on some disconvery channel show.
Pretty neat things though.. but I don't envy those who 'recover' the pills after theyve passed through someone. I don't imagine these are "recovered", but can you imagine the conversation in the doctors office when presented with one of these?
Doctor: Well sir, you have 2 options.
Doctor: We can give you this brand new SmartPill for $500
Doctor: or you can take this recycled SmartPill we just "recovered" from an elderly gentleman with chronic diarrhea for $7.50
Patient: uh...I'll take the new one, thanks.
...in the UK only about 2 of the 30 or so channels added to the 'traditional' line-up are actually worth watching. That's about 2 more channels worth watching than in the US!
With Java 7 under GPL, why would anyone develop an AJAX application instead of a signed Java applet? The reasons Java applets never took off were security concerns and limited consumer bandwidth. Both of these are less of a concern now and no more of a concern than running rich apps directly in the browser.
Time to make like it's nineteen-ninety-eight. Again. I avoid Java applets as much as I can. Not because of security or bandwidth, but because they take so damn long to load and often cause the browser (IE or FF) to freeze until they're done loading.
private schools have far more authority, granted by the parents, and are generally far more restrictive on what is allowed at school AND at home...
True, (I may be talking out of my ass here as my kid is only 8 months old so I haven't had to look real hard at this yet) but as I understand it private schools depend on the monthly tuition I pay for my kid to attend. If I disagree enough with their policies (or whatever) I can pull my kid from the private school thereby reducing their income. Unfortunately, even if my kid goes to private school the public schools still get my money through my property taxes.
Are most of the children being searched minorities?
Ahhh there it is. I knew someone was gonna pull the racism card. Next time leave that card in the deck, if it does get pulled then discard it and pull another card.
Wouldn't the SAME argument apply to a machine gun?
You are such a dumbass.
Let's see how this would work...
kid takes machine gun to school.
Kid makes phone call or text message from said machine gun.
School takes machine gun, searches through contacts and text messages.
Kid gets suspended for machine gun.
Parents come and get machine gun from school administrator
Students also sign an agreement at the begining of the year that they agree to the terms of their student handbook. I am sure that this agreement explicitly covers this mobile phone reading.
Regardless, that doesn't give the school the authority to search the phone for incriminating evidence or otherwise, it only gives the school the authority to confiscate the phone and either return it at the end of the day or return it to the parents.

UML = "Unified Modeling Language" - let's not add a new meaning to this acronym as it's sure to be confusing when someone starts talking about reading and writing UML on their UML workstation.
I don't see any problems here. Your opportunity is as equal as the next guy who tries to use that broken down machine. Besides, I believe EOE is in regards to race, religion, sex, etc... How the perspective employer receives your application is up to them.
Just because you clicked pause doesn't mean they're still not tracking it. It just means that they're not returning the results back to you in your search history.
Also, when you "delete your history", all that's probably doing is setting a flag on each history record called "bDeleted" specifying the record has been to the user but still exists in the system.
Your best bet is logging off if you don't want your searches tracked.
They don't call it the "World Series" because it's limited to the Americas~.
Of course we would, our arrogance knows no bounds.

Yeah, and?
Actually, that's how we got that term in the first place http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/tek1/first_computer _bug.htm

And your point is?
The question is simpel : why do the medias don't report this ?
The question may be "simpel", but understanding what you wrote took a few reads.
So build your buildings closer together.
Well, why don't we just jump right on that
Does anyone even use Google Talk?

Quit being such a bitch asshole
Maybe you should Do some research before going off half cocked.
