That is fcuking evil!!! I'm 43, and it's more like feeling it as well as hearing it. 2 minutes of that and I'd have a severe migraine.

    Had to stop halfway through.

    Bookmarked, though :o)

Modded Flamebait? What, have facts and honest opinion become trolling????

  3. Re:Pfft. Nothing New Here on U.S. Lobbied EU Over Microsoft Fine · · Score: 1

You know, I actually think that would have been more 'honest' FWIW. I mean, at least you are open about it. This 'Let's invade a sovereing nation, topple the government, and then engage in some good old nation building' leaves a bitter taste.

And, BTW, wasn't Bush the one that stated he didn't believe in foreign adventurism and nation building when he was governor?

  4. Mod parent up! on Microsoft Recalls Small Business Server · · Score: 1

That is precisely the point, commercially.

If I had the points you'd get them.

Rather than playing catch-up in the desktop space, the real money to be made is in the support of (fl)oss server systems. The customers who are the market don't know what's in the box anyway, they just want something that works. Nascent support companies are springing up all over the place to deliver this, and it's just going to accelerate. Go Team!!!

  5. Re:If Dvorak is right on John Dvorak's Eight Signs MS is Dead in the Water · · Score: 1

True, but I have found myself reading Mini-Microsoft more and more lately. There is a morbid fascination in reading the scathing msft employee comments.

When a company has this type of pent-up frustration it's time the shareholders lock and load. For once Dvorak's right - hell, from TFA it looks like he's been perusing mini-microsoft as well...

  6. Re:Depends on how you look at what constitutes a P on Pen-Based PDA Market on Death Bed · · Score: 2, Insightful

Amazing, I've just been through the same kind of epiphany. I've got my iBook and Treo with me constantly, but a couple of weeks ago found myself floundering with my todo's and whatnot. While syncing is no problem, I really didn't feel I had a Birds Eye View. Since I'm a project manager basically hired out to customers, I have an extremely heterogenous workload. Like many, I went the GTD -> 43Folders (link in parent post) -> Hipster PDA (3x5 index cards).

I liked the templates I found referenced at 43Folders, especially those at DIYPlanner http://www.diyplanner.com/. BUT, I've whittled it down to a week template, and a blank template that covers everything else.

The result? Pure goodness! An empty inbox, a few contexts, preemptive rather than reactive management. And all in two weeks. For the first time in a long time I'm facing a weekend without catchup work.

I love my Treo, but it has been completely displaced by pen and paper + Mail.app + iCal.

    Simplicity rules.

  7. This is a "piece"? on Steve Jobs: Redefining The CEO · · Score: 4, Insightful

Sorry, but somehow I expect a link to a story when I hear the word "piece". You know, with more than perhaps 200 words, especially given the subject.

This is just a short, non-interesting slideshow.

No news here - move along.

True, but think of the possibilities when you scale that up to a RealDoll http://www.realdoll.com/ Now there's a cuddly feeling. Of course you do have to clean up afterwards.....
