Thanks, although I'm not sure my claim is correct, as I'm only French, but after all it seems that most Americans around here ignore the fact that in some states you can only have a driver license at the age of 18, let alone be an adult only at 21.
He shouldn't be sold the game? Are you doing this on purpose?
You retard, 17+ means you can buy the game if you're 17, that means a minor, that means not an adult (in some states you're not an adult before 21 anyways), that means he should be sold the game.
"In the United States, the driving age is determined by the state or territory, with the most common age being sixteen. The minimum age for a license varies from 14 years 3 months to 18 years."
That means that not all 17 year olds can be expected to have licenses.
The two-month undercover survey [...] found that underage teens were able to buy games rated M for Mature (17+) at 46 percent of stores
How are they supposed to enforce that anyways? By asking kids their ID? How are you supposed to tell a 17-year old who looks like he's 14 from a 14 year old who looks like he's 17?
Hydro, Solar, Nuclear, and yes even hydrocarbons are the answer for now.
Hydro is hardly scalable, there's only so many of such plants you can build, solar isn't a bargain and if we haven't put a shitload of them to cover a piece of desert there must be a reason, and coal is awfully polluting, both atmospherically and waste-wise. So nuclear power is the only largely scalable (France has about 80% of its power made in nuclear power plants) and clean at the same time.
Your rights and liberties will slowly but surely be devolved to the point where you are just another piece of corporate property.
Oh shut up you bloody communist hippie. Lobbies have been holding Washington DC by the nuts for almost 50 years, sure that lead to a bunch of ugly stuff but don't get me started with that whole "OMG corporations are evil they're coming for your soul!!!" type shit.
No duh I never played the 2 I only played the original and I don't remember hearing JC Denton's back story in it that was just a random example. Geez..
Why do games still have levels? Which brings us to this question, why do games still even have a story? You would have thought that by now games would have done like porn and done away with the non-fun part of them. I mean come on, we care as much about JC Denton's back story as we care about why the hot nurse with the big breasts is so devoted to her patients.
EDIT : Please don't reply to tell me how stories in games are important for immersion or whatever. EDIT #2 : And stop asking me how to edit comments after posting them, it's right next the Parent link..
lol, if we need to shape up the power grid into supporting millions of fully-electric cars, we won't look into wind mills. Either nuclear power plants or coal power plants, and considered both the current administration (there's little we can assume about the next administrations) and the mineral resources of this country, we might go for coal power plants, and suddenly that makes fully-electric cars seem much less eco-friendly (as things are they're not very eco-friendly either).
Wrong (well kind of). Nowadays they make SoC's more powerful than a PSP's with processes that make them efficient enough to be used in phones. What springs to mind is TI's OMAP 3 series. They're the most powerful SoCs out there, and they're low enough on power consumption to find their way into mobile phones. Considered how powerful these things are, you can play some pretty nice good stuff (SNES emus or Quake I) at a third of that normal clock, and therefore not consume so much power (well, still more than when it's idle in our pocket, but not more than when you're phoning)
Thanks. That was obvious that it was about detonating nukes outside the atmosphere for obvious health/environmental reasons, and also because as I pointed out detonating a nuke in the atmosphere would no effect as the atmosphere would contribute to absorbing the blast in all directions. But it's OK, Errare Humanum Est.
I agree that a lot of "science" these days is opinion, hysteria, or someone's hidden agenda.
I disagree, maybe it's the case with the Science articles you get from your favourite mainstream news source, but that's definitely not true with what you find in Nature. People who think like you do just don't know what time it is, that is science is in peer reviewed journals, not the front page of msn.com.

Ha! You're wrong! lol.
"In the United States, the driving age is determined by the state or territory, with the most common age being sixteen. The minimum age for a license varies from 14 years 3 months to 18 years."
That means that not all 17 year olds can be expected to have licenses.
I know it sounds ambiguous but upon reading the complaint it turns out it is indeed about having the game not run on a Xbox 360, and not a Xbox "1".
If a minor wants to get an M-rated or 17+ rated game, tough luck.
Yeah but if you're 17, you're a minor, and you're allowed to buy the game tho. That's the difference between 17+ and 18+ that prompted my comment.
If he's an adult, well, he can go back home and get some ID, can't he?
And if he's not an adult?
But you can't require 17-year olds to have an ID or a driving license!
My point was, how are you gonna require an ID from a 17 year old?

In case you're not aware Obama is the one candidate who's the most anti-special interest groups of all, by far.
Spoken like one who's only played Deus Ex 2

Copyright Alliance Presses Presidential Candidates
OMG! Special interest groups are pushing their agenda by pressuring politicians! We've never seen that before! But what will become of us!?!

Yeah, too bad neither a cannon nor a slingshot could effectively put anything into orbit on their own.
Yay! I'm so looking forward to watching HDTV programs on my DS's 256×192 screen! \o/

Yay! Let's all buy fully-electric cars! Together we can take the power grid down!
So imagine a phone that also plays games...

I for one hope it will be converted into a skate park!
Yup, but it has no tabbing, does it? So I had to run an instance of links for each page.
is using 14 MB (Ubuntu)

Actually, both the sidereal and the solar day vary, for different reasons.
Thanks, but in our leap-second problem, only the sidereal day variations matter, as I said in the comment you replied to.
