  1. Will this effect passengers? on Software Holds Cell Phone Calls While Driving · · Score: 0

This is just stupid. How are they going to enforce this? How will they know if the owner of the cell phone is driving or not? They could be in the passenger seat or on a train? Common sence people! Sigh.

  2. THAT IS BULL !@#$! on Flash Cookies, a Little-Known Privacy Threat · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Unbeliveable! No wonder I have been seeing more and more flash ads! Those !@#$%! Once again BAN FLASH!

  3. CAPTCHA reader for humans? on Now Even Photo CAPTCHAs Have Been Cracked · · Score: 0

Is it going to come down to people needing these programs to read the CAPTCHAs? Is it coming down to a war between computers and computers and the humans are getting in the middle of it? Good God Man!!! :-(

  4. I have an HP, No problems on Nvidia Problems Hit HP Desktops · · Score: -1, Redundant

I have a HP tower. I remember i could get either the onboard or the external video. I choose the later and no problems here.

  5. Second Life is NOT A GAME! on Sony, Microsoft Begin Battle of Virtual Worlds · · Score: 0

Why does the media keep refering to SL as a game?

  6. Will this be available for the public? on First Secure Quantum Crypto Network Up and Running · · Score: 0

As more and more people are worried about their ISPs sniffing their data, will this type of system be available for use with clients running on the user's machine such as for Web, E-mail, P2P, etc?

I am shocked that your comment was not the very first post or a parent even!

  8. We'll be back soon... on New Search Engine Cuil Takes Aim At Google · · Score: 0

When I went to the search website I got the following message. They should have prepared for this before releasing any major press releases. There is no place to sign up for a mailing list so I will eventualy forget all about www.cuil.com to even try it again. We'll be back soon... Due to overwhelming interest, our Cuil servers are running a bit hot right now. The search engine is momentarily unavailable as we add more capacity. Thanks for your patience.

  9. Re:Great... on Music Industry Looking for Lyrics Payoff · · Score: 0

Does this mean that every time a karaoke dvd is played at a local club that the patron is going to have to pay?

OMG I must be showing my age. I actually remember seeing one of those things!

  11. Re:Screenshots and trailer on Dragon's Lair Remastered in HD · · Score: 0

Those screen shots just do not do the HD version justice. It just looks like regular screen shots from the old CD version for the PC a way back. I want to see an actual off-the-disc screen shot at full res.

  13. Why not block the whole country? on Spam from Taiwan · · Score: 0, Redundant

If most of the spam is coming from this Taiwan then why not add the whole block to a spam black list? I for one never go to any sites that are being served from Taiwan and I don't have any friends their either so if one could OPT-In for country sized spam filtration I am one for the idea. Maybe a combonation of keywords and Geo2IP or something. At least we now know where all the junk is coming from!

  14. awaiting my invite on Google Launches Online Spreadsheet System · · Score: 1

Not sure if I will get the invite. I check the slashdot feed and go to get my haircut. I come back an hour later, see this story and a TON of replies. I wonder if Google will get to sending me an invite. I am sure they had tens of thousands in the hour.

  15. They didn't backup! on Boot Camp Flaw Leaves Some Users Fuming · · Score: 1

They didn't have a backup system in place and they are blaming Apple. If they had a backup system in place like they should have they would not be moaning to Apple about this. Heck it is like someone suing Dell for a computer crash that took out their data. Come on people!

  16. something is not right about this one on MySpace Users Revolt Against Murdoch · · Score: 1

I really think someone needs to verify the accuracy of this. MySpace TOM stated that he did NOT sell the company. Another thing that is fishy is myspace is not a file sharing site. And one more thing, the person that posted this has not been very active in postings.

  17. boycott on Texas Sues Sony BMG over Rootkit · · Score: 1
