How much did we benefit from exploring the space? In terms of money and in terms of technological developments? whether or not it will directly benefit us next decade or so, who knows what this will turn out to be? personally i don't consider this a waste. Bridge that collapses itself is a waste, that extra 100k troop in iraq maybe a waste but not this.

Bill Gates is not just a billionaire. he is too billionaire that he is politically influencial too. There might have been some conflicts with government's policy with whatever Bill Gates wanted to do. whether it was intended for good or bad. For example, someone from first world country who is wealthy and has doctors degree with descent job applies for business visa for trivial job or unusual business in (any random country) one may be rejected. usually one needs visa to stay in one country for extensive time then normal.
in summary it may have been...

(mod me offtopic but another use of solar panel can be..) is solar panel heating. Gas boilers are also popular but Korea produces 0 ore in its own land because we have no ore reserves, not even a titty, no seree. For example, gas price in korea is somewhere near $6/gal. so the most popular heating source in Korea became solar panel heating. my house has one installed at the top of the roof. we pay fixed cost of $4 dollars for electricity required for backup heating every month. and the panel cost us $5000 US dollars. gas boilers are reliable and also powerful but we are satisfied with the solar panel heating. very reliable and stable. and overall we recovered the cost in 6 years over having gas boilers.

  15. can it work for foreign students? on Free Tuition for Math, Science, and Engineering? · · Score: -1

Many colleges in Europe offer free college education. As an international student who is attending an engineering ivy league school, i often wonder why many schools don't offer at least some scholarship or financial aid to the foreign students. Think about how much an average foreign student spend a year in the states. i spend about $45000 on a very tight budget. about $4000 is for food and supplies and so on and the rest is for school and boarding and other fees. If the school cost me only about $10k, i bet my degree that i will get a nice 1 bedroom apartment to stay and probably my family would visit me more often. in fact i have been studying in the states since 10th grade till now, sophomore in college, alone and my family were never able to visit me in the states. only time i see my family is during summer when i go back home.
well i think my family wouldn't spend $45k if though we have that kind of money every year. we do not know how we, uhh mm my parents actually, have made on deadline for tuition invoices. one of my parents shops shuts down and another one opens up and our house splits in half and some university student lives in, ironically.
I am not saying that i think paying for tuition is waste. i value every penny i pay for my school. but if i get some scholarships or some kind of financial aid it might help take burden off my parents shoulder greatly. like allowing private companies to offer loans to foregin students who have been already qualified by the university and US embassy of one's financial ability, why not have they done that?
