Exactly, A year ago I had a lecture by a professor of the Delft university in Radar interferometry, they are at the absolute forefront in these kind of things. One of the things that impressed me the most was that they were able to see a few meters into the desert sand (because it was loosely packed), this gave them images of ancient caravan routes. Water on the other hand is reflecting radar very well and therefor making it impossible to see under water. So yeah i would say this definitely is a hoax. And not as good as this one http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6714063.s tm (bbc)
Do you actually have ANY idea what is going on there???
maybe genocide is the wrong word but hundreds of thousands dying and even more fleeing for their lives and living in refuge-camps is not something that is pushed by western governments. There never was a reason to televise some Africans kill other Africans (in fact one party consists of muslim nomads) To be specific the whole Darfur crisis is allready several years old most people don't give a damn because there is no oil.
I'm not saying Bush should have led the world in an war in Sudan but it would have probably been more usefull (not counting the oil) and saved more lives.
I'm sorry for not being very eloquent. But the bottomline is this, the more people know what is going on out there the bigger the chance that something gets done.
Yes exactly my point!
This is a newly created difference between the 2 and that makes it just wrong and greedy.
there is no real difference and as far as I know most over the air radio stations also broadcast live over the web as well. So they will also end up paying the price.
Well I just have a question,
What is the big difference between conventional radio (that i receive in digital quality over satelite (which by the way i can record using my satelite recorder)) and internet radio ???
Isn't internet radio the newest form of radio as it already exists?
And wasn't radio the best commercial for ever?
so why are they trying to squeeze more and more ??
I'm sorry I can't concur, but you shouldd consider what you need it for. As far as I know TI (up untill 2005 or 6 that is) don't support the GON system (400 degrees to a circle). So if that's not a problem for you go for TI. Just make sure you get one that has an USB-cable in the package. You will need it as soon as you want to program something, or (the easy way) download the program you need. I use a CASIO CFX-9850G+ and it does the job for me now for the past 6 years.
Linux users will probably just find ways hack around it, and ignore the fact they're breaking the law Did he just say what i thought he said?????
Are all Linux users that watch movies criminals????
In Germany there are several different projects and ways found to build a 'zero emission' house. Most of which use a combination of solar, wind and water energie, in ways that are to say the least very creative but they work and that is the point. So why wouldn't this work in most cases it is a delicate combination and even small bits of energy like draft coming from night and day differences could make the difference. I for one hope they succeed even if it takes them several years and more 'crazy' ideas
There are several good reasons why they made blocks one reason not yet mentioned is that liquid concrete is extremely strong, that means if the cast your filling isn't strong enough it will break. pressure is building. Logical right next step try it with a cast that is pyramid-shaped, it will be lifted and all the concrete will flow all over the place.
The Chinese system is made up of 4 geostationary satellites which means its of no use outside a specific area(mainly China). And being stationary it also has the problem that you cannot get a very good location. Not compareable to GPS, Galileo or even GLONASS. It will be usefull and accurate for the chinese because they will combine it with other GNSS's.
And there are at least 2 more sytems planned. The Japanese started with a Quasi Zenith Satelite System that is also only useable in a very limited area. Then as you mentioned in India they also have plans, but it will take very long before you can see that. And I think that both the Europeans and the Americans will create a QZSS like the Japanese once they see how great it works. Allthough funding could become an issue in Europe.
The real advantage for the average concert fan is that it makes it a lot harder for someone to buy all the tickets and go and sell them online for twice the normal value which I know is a major problem in Belgium and the Netherlands.
As long as you can't just send the sms to the next guy.
There is more to it than just that.
Galileo will have a steeper inclination wich means the satelites will be passing the poles closer, meaning that there will be a significantly better accuracy on the poles. And that makes it possible to monitor the polar icecaps.
Everyone here is talking about military purposes of the system, or the satnav in their car or yacht. But there is a very big third market that really needs the high accuracy of Galileo. Civil engineering heavily relies on GPS at the moment, to get the much needed millimeter accuracy for building bridges and railways, you now need to use a system with a base station setup on an "known" coordinate, that will then calculate the differences and send them on to your handheld receiver.
Furthermore i wonder what the big deal is here that the americans are trying to stop this system the russians have had GLONASS for several years now, and the Chinese are already started on their own BEIDOU system. Which by the way will not be a thread to the US since it is a geostationary system, with 4 or 5 satelites over China
Indeed in this story it is all about the catalyst, but a few months ago there was a story in a dutch newspaper and it was about a man who drove on sunflower oil instead of diesel. He claimed that his car got a better mileage and more power allthough there was no scientific test done
In holland diesel costs aproximately 1,30 euro/l and sunflower oil costs 0,30 euro/l.
This man didn't use any catalyst. There is a catch though newer diesel engines need better burning oil than vegetable oil, so if you mix it will be allright, absolutely no harm to your engine.
I don't know american diesel prices but for most europeans vegetable oil will be cheaper as long as there are no taxes.

I guess we should be glad that it's ICANN after all and not IECANN
