Only partially correct, VZW is CDMA, as is Sprint PCS, Cricket & (IIRC) MetroPCS. True, CDMA is primarily a US technology, Japan uses it & I'm too lazy to look , but there are other countries that do too. I work for a CDMA carrier, but my posts do not necessarily reflect opinions of my employer, blah blah:)
I just joined the conversation, and I have no specific experience in the discipline, but I suspect Print Production isn't a 100% "rote task that anyone can do." Am I mistaken?
Seconded. I needed an index.html file to be uploaded to a sub-dir of a site of mine & was having trouble with my remote login, so I called my wife and had her ul it... to the root, d'oh. My fault, but had the archive.org copy's code been better would have been easier to fix.
Apparently jewtube.com is a real site... doesn't seem to be anti-Semitic at first glance, duhno for sure though - looks like they have had a whopping 2 contributors to the main page, though... either very small (and perhaps he was trying to draw attention to it) or more insidious that appears.
Imagine you were caught for littering - almost noone gets caught for littering - and they fined you $1,000,000 to cover the cleanup from everyone else. Does that even remotely make sense in your world?
Fry 'em! Littering trash! Fire up old sparkey & destroy their computers.
Oh, sorry, I was channeling Orrin Hatch for a moment.
Sounds like a good time to invest in a $15-50(USD in the US)/yr safe deposit box from your bank and a $160 portable hdd. Monthly hit your bank & backup what you haven't previously. There are even easy programs to re-sync only what you haven't already copied.
First: My bank displays the amount avbl. in my checking account 24/7, I don't have to keep track. Second: Even if I had to keep track (which I happen to do anyway), it's not like I make as many payments as I do online interactions. Third: This is more akin to a cell provider threatening to cut off service if you go over on your minutes and not providing you access to how many you used - you could, of course, keep track yourself, but who does? Fourth: it's == it is, not possessive it.
I love sending a little surprise to the credit card solicitations, I hear most of them are completely automated... I can't imagine peanut butter is good for scanners... to C[my]A, I always print a warning on the outside of the envelope warning them there is peanut butter inside, but if it is 100% automated... I'm too lazy to Google it for you but years ago someone proved you can take together an application torn into little piece & then fill out & mail & get it accepted... inexcusable & since then I send a treat.
Cheers to you, and thank you for showing me fm6's point - I understand now & both yours and his points are valid. If only the type of fear-mongering the current administration is perpetuating would get labeled as a crime of terror - I say it fits.
Preventive detention is not a punishment? Would you mind being detained in such a matter because someone thinks you might do something? Not trying to troll, I'm honestly interested in your opinion. I admit I'm not the most educated person in the world (and too busy at work to look it up), but I believe there are some basic protections against this sort of thing somewhere in the Constitution or somewhere (seriously not making light / poking fun, I do not know where, but I trust it is somewhere - remind me to read it in the near future).
Sorry, that wasn't what I meant. I posted in a hurry & as result I wasn't clear. I was actually referring to the detainees that didn't actually/do/ anything wrong but were detained because of what they/might/ do/in the future/. I agree that we shouldn't charge people with something they haven't [yet] done, but it is done.
Unknown bands have been doing this for a while now, this is newsworthy *because* he is not unknown. Unknowns using this method & unknowns using the RIAA both don't do spectacularly, but this (and arguably Radiohead) is the first time a known band has used this method with great results. Sure, the album would make more money through the RIAA, but I suspect his cut would be a lot smaller than what it was.
This is why it is important. We needed a big name(s) to be successful for people to take notice. You are right, an unknown would never sell an album for $300, but we now see that a known band can (we knew this already, but now we have proof). This is a good thing, even for those of us that don't really care about *his* music.
//btw: I can name quite a few lesser-known artists that I would gladly pay that sort of premium for a LE set that they were selling directly. The trouble is, most of them have sold their souls to the RIAA. I hope they take notice.
Except you just posted too, no worries, I've got it covered. Oh, wait. Dang.

Linus talked about you? How are you destroying MSFT? ;)
You must not have heard about what happened to the kid I went to school with. Fuzzy bunnies ruined his life.
No, this is The Cure
you are both wrong. you have (16*256)*(16*256)

Perhaps set up a small ramdisk and pf to that?
What do we expect from kdawson?

Leave the country on holiday and it applies to you when you come back by the looks of it.
Have you seen the state of the dollar these days? What American can afford to travel abroad?
Space crow?
Tell that to the cleanflicks folks. Bastards that own Congressmen have really twisted the law ...

I would argue that one can be a form of the other. Unjustified punishment can be a form of cruelty.
