If Obama is serious about disarming rogue states with Nuclear Weapons, should he not have at least mentioned ISRAEL ? I mean, he has professed on many occasions how much he supports them and how close the US / Israeli relationship is. How is it that they are allowed to not even admit their Nuclear capabilities, let alone regulate them ? You would be hard pushed to even find any mentioned of Israel's nuke's until recently and they have had them for 40 years.

Agreed. Also the performance difference for any normal suburbanite between a high end mac laptop and a cheap dell laptop is MARGINAL. Processors have not increased in speed for 5 years ! Most people use laptops for web, email, youtube and dvd's. In all these cases ANY low-end Dell or Hp or Toshiba etc. etc. will perform as well as a high end mac pro laptop. Hence, there is no practical value in the added cost of a mac (unless you are a professional and you are using multi-threaded processor intensive apps)

  17. Apple - Ripping of single moms everywhere on Ballmer Scorns Apple As a $500 Logo · · Score: 0

I once had to convince a single mom she didn't have to spend $2000 on a mac, and that a $500 pc would enable her kid to browse the internet, check email and watch dvds. Apple is despicable in that it has never offered decent cheap computers (Core 2 duo or core 2 quad tower). What it does offer is in-built redundancy ie. the iMac, by building a machine into a overpriced lcd that is completely un-upgradable

How can a potentially infinite energy source (I doubt we could develop enough to use it all up) of energy be a waste of time ? Surely cost means nothing compared to a limitless source of immense energy. What else are we going to do with our resources ? A focused global space race style effort could put a space conveyer belt up and really open up the upper atmosphere. It would power itself, reclaiming energy from freefall gravity.
