Who's going to do R&D and develop new products? Seems like everyone is getting out of the development business and going into the patent holding/suing one.
They're calling themselves "Round Two". What happens if they're a success? What do they follow it with? They can't say "Round Three" because they've spent so much promoting the "Round Two" name.
That's what I keep telling people about.Net
They started over from scratch (at least on the VB part.) So you're starting out with a still maturing product.
This should have not been marked redundant. It wasn't the first post to mention the laser beams, but it was the first one that said "All I asked for is a article..." thereby making it more relevant than all the other laser beam posts at the time (none of which brought the article into the joke).
Ya have to have rebates first, before you can eliminate them. (Right now, by the time you actually get the rebate, you forgot that you sent the thing in.)
Why can't we have a show for tech enthusiasts? It could be where companies show off new stuff and generate public interest. One where the public is invited? It could be held in a different state each year so that everyone gets a chance to go.
Any time in the past that you didn't return a video to a rental place, they would charge you the full price of the video. Why would anyone think it would be different now?

There are some of us who chose XM because it didn't have Stern.
over 1,400 executives of companies with annual revenue around $250 to $500 million
Is that executives's pay or companies income?
I could understand it if they had invented a machine that made the sandwiches and then patented the machince, but this is just silly.
Thanks.
Reminds me of this $2 bill story:

I'd be nice of /. to tell us about these events BEFORE they happen, so we could get involved or at least watch.
So will Encarta now have articles that are more than 2 paragraphs long?
For all its many faults, VB is a mature platform

If wikimedia starts becoming evil, someone can (and will) fork the project and re-release the entire thing.
I certainly hope so. Remember what happened to CDDB (aka Gracenote)? And to a lesser extent IMDB.
What if you paid money for the ticket to the concert? Does that come with any recording rights?

But then what happens if it finds something dangerous headed for Earth? The government won't be able to keep it quiet until they contact Bruce Willis.
All I asked for is a article about sharks with friggin laser beams on their heads. Is that too much to ask for?
Google seems to be getting into everything. I wish they'd become an ISP. Then maybe I would have broadband available at my house.
let the general public upload self-produced videos to Google's servers
Google: "All your video are belong to us."
Great. Now all I need is a grass powered lawnmoer to collect it...oh, wait.
Having $53.7 million in cash
Wish I had that problem.

...And I won't believe it until I see the dupe posted. :-)
It must mean they're all busy getting the next stable release out!
Hack 1: Extension xzy
Hack 2: Extension abc
Hack 3: Extension 123
