    or at least saying something like "I wont tell anything about my visions about the future, because gates here would steal them AGAIN.............. ISN'T THAT RIGHT, YOU THIEVING BASTARD!?!? COME ON, GET YOUR FISTS UP - YOU'LL GET THE BEATING OF YOUR LIFETIME NOW"... uhm... yes... as I saied - i can hardly imagine it not to end in jobs beating gates up...

    yes, try it... spend billions of dollars for an infrastructure that we will bypass within hours...
    we will develop a tool that will use a tunneled, SSL encrypted connection over port 8080 to a foreign email provider infact - we can do that already... just use TOR and privoxy and then setup your own machine as proxy for your email application...

    good luck with trying to find out if I wrote an email or requested some webpages... in 11 month you might know if I have sent an email today... in 22 month you might know if I have sent an email today or tomorrow... in 44 month you might know if I or my neighbour has sent an email today or tomorrow... etc...

    god I hate politicians that think they had any clue about the internet, just because they've sent some emails and visited some websites...

    in germany we pay "GEMA" charges for the content - that's 9% of the price
    we also pay extra for CD-R, DVD+-R, Harddiscs, mp3 players, flashdiscs, CD Recorders, DVD Recorders, VCRs...
    still the MAFIAA keeps telling us we were criminals

    they even pay for TV spots that say "copy piracy is a crime"
    just to scare people (that don't know about their fair use right, which is a right here), away from making LEGAL copies... so that they don't legally give copies to their friends, so that their friends have to pay the full price...

    they even went so far to build prison-cell immitations in cinemas, the games convention and such - where you can test how it feels where you're going if you copy stuff.... (but they don't tell people about their fair use right of course)
    AND THEY'RE EVEN PROUD OF THIS GESTAPO MARKETING

    but times have changed... look at [k+x]ubuntu - perfect for the average user

    the problems for linux adaption are
    a) people don't even know it exists
    b) it isn't preinstalled
    c) people are scared away by MS FUD...

    CC Music is fine, I bet 90% of the listeners won't even notice... the stations have faster access by just downloading the material instead of going and buying cds...

    maybe BR and HDDVD should hurry up with their war, so it is decided BEFORE both formats are wiped out...

    still they are heavily pushing europe to legalize software patents here...

    I don't think they'll change their opinion before it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to late for them to not go bankrupt or have to downsize big time...

    and what libraries does this code use (i.e. how big will the program become)?
    is the PRINT procedure buffered (i.e. faster) or unbuffered (i.e. uses less ram)?
    is the string "Hello World!" a list (faster manipulatable) or an array (less ram, faster nonlinear access) of characters?
    what charset do strings use?
    can I overload the operators to get useful classes?
    could I replace the libraries with own asm code to make the programs smaller/faster?
    and is this an LR(1) grammar? missing delimiters (like ";") might screw up the language, the parse-trees might not be unique...

    yes, basic is convenient, simple and intuitive... for beginners...
    to professionals it's just a child's toy
