Or the piece about not liking Star Trek, but having seen each episode at least once. He might as well have linked to bureau42.com! (see your Slashbox settings):-P
If you have more money than a bathtub full of milk costs, that doesn't prove you can afford a house.
Let's see: a bathtub is 200 to 300 liters or something (estimate). Milk costs about 50 cents per liter, so a bathtub full would cost 100 to 150 dollars/euros.
I have more money than a bathtub full of milk costs, but I can't just go and buy a house.
No, I'd like to head "Your Pinto exploded? Too bad, you should have paid attention, because that problem was already widely known, and if you didn't want to face that explosion problem, you shouldn't have gotten a Pinto."
The people didn't take the time to research which database product was best for them, but mindlessly stuck with the Microsoft brand name, which bit them in the ass, as I've already said in this thread.
Also, those people could have used other database products, like Oracle, or MySQL (depending on their requirements), instead of just going with the brand name they were already familiar with. They were lazy, and their laziness bit them in the ass bigtime.
Oh? What about software that control the Space Shuttle, or a nuclear power plant? Or software that controls a guided missile? Or software that controls a life support system?
Would Bill Gates be nervous if he had to be hooked up to a life support system that was controlled by a computer running Windows?;-)
Strategy: Civilization III (and the Play the World expansion) is extremely good, and addictive. Better than cheesy poofs. The month will have passed before you notice if you get it;-)
RPG:
Also, as another poster has written, Planescape Torment is good. D&D-based RPG, in a totally weird and twisted world. You can get it very cheap, but it's definitely a good game. The Baldur's Gate series is good too. Icewind Dale is not, it's got a plot more linear than a yard stick. Fallout and Fallout 2 are good too.
RTS: Starcraft (with Broodwar) is good, even though it's old. Don't play it on Battle.net, the people there generally suck. Warcraft III is good too, but it seems quite a bit harder.
Sorry, but I don't know much about action games, because I hardly play them, but you might want to check out the Grand Theft Auto series. I kinda liked GTA.
So, do the other people in your network FPS games already accuse you of "wallhacking" ?
Actually, 200*70*100 = 1 400 000, which is far larger than the maximum number of allowed characters in a sig.
Mac-NT-ouch :-P
Hey! :-(

You should be getting a 25% discount on your "methane" :-P
Do you know Atomix? :-)
Sure, if the Romulans use it, it must be possible!
What problem? He is offering to pay the same percentage of ticket sales that the other movie theatres pay.
First, it's "films", not "film's".
Second, again: Why not? Think volume! If you can convince enough people to pay $1 to see the movie, all those dollar bills will really add up!
Just go to a movie with subtitles, or a silent movie ;-)
Homer: "Ooowww..."
Lawyer: "That's A flat!"
Homer: "Ooohhh..."
Lawyer: "That's better!"
Nah, they filed it before the Secret Court.
He's on dialup. Around where he's from, local calls cost money, so cable/DSL is actually cheaper than dialup, if you can get it in your area.
No, only if he were to then download the song via Robot-to-Robot (R2R) filesharing services, instead of buying it in the store :-P

"Don't worry, Bender. There's no such thing as two."

Actually, I think Lindows.com does give back to the Linux community, in the form of a bigger audience.
No problem, we'll just rename the planet to...
Snickers!
If i is an unsigned byte variable, it'll always be in the range [0..255], so i < 256 will always be true, so the loop will go on and on forever.
(Until you get to the end, and the monkey starts throwing barrels at you.)
Some of us are still busy to get their first life! And what about cats?
Insensitive clods.
