Of course they did. Any successful company copies innovative ideas from the competition (like how Apple copied the mouse drive GUI from Xerox). Microsoft has had it's fair share of ideas copied too (Apple copied the popular 'right mouse click' context menu for their computers).

Why not offer free routers to anyone who requests them, along with instructions on how to set them up? The routers would be pre-configured to only allow kiddie sites like nick.com, pbskids.com, etc. I could be funded with ad revenue from the allowed sites. You were lucky. I tried beating down a longtime bully once. I did pretty well too. Until two days later when him and three of his friends jumped me and nearly put me in the hospital. In this litigious and delicate age, I tell my kids not to open a can of whoops-arse, but rather take the issue to the principle. If that doesn't work I call the cops.

I don't think so. I have a teenage daughter and teenage son. I have never heard them (or any of their friends) use the word hardcore in reference to anything other than as a disparagement toward obsessive gamers. Maybe it 'stuck' like the word goth. It used to mean someone was something (i.e. Visigoth, Ostrogoth). But now it pretty much means someone is nothing.
Because the so-called 'warrior gene' that's found in many violent offenders, is not entirely a bad thing. It usually (always?) needs to be coupled with a abusive childhood to lead to a life of violence. People wo have the former without the latter often end up be highly ambitions and very competitive. These traits often serve society very well. Or they become UFC champions, which is kind of neutral...
Kinda like how 'comic books' rarely are funny. Just wait...it'll happen to you too. One day iPods to go away but you will still call portable music players iPods. Or mobile phones will become entirely satellite driven but you'll still call them cell phones;P
Ballmer using words like 'hardcore' makes me feel the same as when my Grampa would talk about 'the Googles' or any other time a male-menapausal coot tries to use 'cool' words to 'relate' to 'todays youth'
I use multiple SN's. For professional contacts I use LinkedIn. For personal contacts I use Google Buzz (or at least did until recently). For imaginary contacts I use WoW.
So can this be cleaned, like ever? If not, then it would hardly be considered human clothing. Even the ancients rinsed out their loincloths from time to time.
But then again, one could just grow a new shirt when needed....

Chase has this as well. Along with these cool 'deposit friendly' ATM's that let me insert 50 checks at once without a deposit slip.
