    It's not price fixing to require that everybody pays the same price.

    The minimum wage is governmental price fixing. Requiring that bob gets the same price as sheniqua is just common sense.

    Honestly why? You can drag windows on one workspace to another, the keyboard shortcuts to move windows from one workspace to another already exist.

    So why not have each monitor be it's own workspace, then just move windows between them?

    You're problem was entirely because you used two graphics cards. The same setup is unlikely to work under windows either unless you cards from the same manufacturer.

    This week it awarded a $500,000 order to Northrop Grumman to begin designing the plug-and-play spacecraft "bus" ... The order was awarded under a contract that has a ceiling of $200 million.

    There is a pretty big difference between $500,000 and $200,000,000. So which is it Air Force?

    Google "Dictionary" is nothing more than a simple aggregation. They take the definitions from other free dictionaries.

    So why not just include Answers.Com in the Google Dictionary results?

    I guess you could temporarily disable checksums, but im not sure that would work and it definitely would be a problem for any data written while the checksum was disabled.

    If the presentation isn't better than watching TV/DVD/BluRay at home, then why pay the $11?

    To get away from the kids? To make out in the back row?

    Seriously people dont go to the movie theatre for the movies mostly.

    Also VLC tends to do best guess of the frame when there is corruption, it's usually a pretty bad guess but it still tries.

    Actually ZFS does not use ECC unless you are using a RAIDZ. It does use checksums for all blocks, but that can only detect error, if you're not using RAIDZ or a mirror or have copies=(2|3) the error will be fatal, but at least you'll know about it.

    Actually ALL of the TOR exit nodes are known. It is a known flaw of the TOR network.

    Are you insane? You probably just cut the performance of your drives by 90%.

    Of course, the performance and the idea of trusting my data to FUSE leave much to be desired.

    Perhaps I did not clearly explain myself. (although im fairly certain I did...)

    The goal would be to kill them so that they could no long hold a quarter-billion dollars in goods ransom.

    Clearly the marginal cost of the ransom is lower than the potential risk of attempting to free the hostages violently.

    However take note that only ONE US flag ship has ever been boarded by Somali pirates (in the modern era). That is due in large part to the fact that the pirates who boarded that vessel where not paid, they were not arrested, they were all shot dead by the SEALS snipers.

    The British figured out how to deal with pirates a long long time ago. You kill them, it's really quote simple.

    The latest random alone was $3 million.

    I have no doubt you could finance a small army in Somalia for $3 million.

    This is unregulated laissez faire capitalism at its finest. I'm so proud, little Somolia is growing up.

    Wrong. There is partial regulation.

    In a truly unregulated market the vessels losing millions of dollars would instead pay millions of dollars to have all of the pirates killed.

    But they cannot do that because they are regulated.

    This is nothing more than an example of uneven regulation (which is usually a sign of corruption, I'm looking at you united nations).

    I'm currently in San Francisco and I can tell you that people in cali have a strong affinity for finding crazy ass conspiracies everywhere except where a conspiracy actually exists.

    Honestly the stupidity of the average person here is astonishing.
