  1. George Foreman grill addon anyone? on PS3 Problems Cause Sony Stocks to Slide · · Score: 5, Funny

You are all noobs, everyone knows this is happening because Sony is keeping the George Foreman grill addon for later. Just spend another $300 for the Blu George Foreman grill ray in January and all your overheating problems will be over... As long as you are using it with Sony brand eggs and bacon. Just remember though that the Sony brand food will only work with Sony brand hardware!

  2. Re:Too bad: Nintendo MMORPG on Nintendo's Iwata Skeptical of In-Game Ads, Episodes · · Score: 1

Actually they have said in the past that they are hoping and planning to have MMORPG's on the Wii. In other words, expect any Nintendo made MMORPG's to not have a monthly payment structure.

Funny, I still remember people saying the exact same thing about the DS. Now those people are eating their words. Thats not to say that the new controller is guaranteed to succeed however, but the hands on reports that have been comming from various media outlets (CNN included) make it sound extremelly promising.

And you are trying to tell me that Xbox Live can't/hasn't suffered from the same problem? Of course many of them are like this. It is also safe to assume that the same situation existed for many Xbox Live users as well.

  5. Xbox 360 exclusive? on Rockstar's Family-Friendly Shocker · · Score: 2, Insightful

So they are going to release a graphicly overpowered ping pong game exclusively for the Xbox 360? Can anyone tell my why Rockstar hasn't lost it's mind for making this a 360 exclusive instead of at the very least porting it to the Nintendo Revolution? The system that it would probably fit this game like a glove?

  6. Re:Phillips CD-i on Legend of Zelda Celebrates 20 Years · · Score: 1

It is no where near as simple as Nintendo abandoning Sony and going with Phillips: http://www.consoledatabase.com/consoleinfo/snescdr om/ From what I understand going with Sony meant Nintendo was going to lose rights to any CD-based games or software released on the system. Nintendo did not want this and left. However that was not the end of it. Eventually Phillips, Nintendo, and Sony all worked together trying to create a new CD drive for the SNES, however due to technical limitations and legal wrangling Nintendo realized it would be faster and cheaper if they just went ahead and developed a totally new console instead of adding stuff to the SNES. We now know this as the N64.

Are you crazy or just plain ignorant? Nintendo would not send invitations for a special pre-E3 presentation about the Revolution that will take place at the Kodak theater 165 days before the actual event if the Revolution was not going to be it's main focus. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6140464.html

  8. Pay service? on Sony Takes Aim at Xbox Live · · Score: 1

With the costs of being a console gamer in this next generation constantly rising this had better not be a pay service. There used to be this old saying that you could only call yourself a "true gamer" if you bought all the major systems, however I can't see that being used anymore because it is just far too expensive. HDTV, $400 Xbox, Xbox Live fees, $500(maybe)PS3, Sony online service fees, $250(maybe)Nintendo Revolution, games for each system. There is no way a lot of people are going to be paying the online service fees for both an Xbox and a PS3 at the same time. I think I will be sticking with a nice Nintendo Revolution, free online, and my regular SDTV. Online access fees and useless (to me) non-gaming media features can kiss my ass.

You obviously know very little about the controller. Perhaps these mock up videos will calm your fears? First one is an example showing how Half-Life 2 could be played with it along with the nun-chuk attachement. Second shows simple little tech demos with a 3d representation of the controller being used, also note the F-Zero demo:

  10. Expansion pack will fix a lot of high end problems on Next World Of Warcraft Raid Dungeon · · Score: 4, Insightful

Since the Expansion pack will be raising the level cap to 70 a lot of the current raid zones will suddenly become instances that players will be capable of doing with far less people. I think that is why Blizzard keeps on releasing these high end raid dungeons since they know once the level cap is raised that people won't need to be so hardcore to do them.

  11. Gothic series on Games That Keep You Coming Back? · · Score: 1

There are many other games that keep me comming back but everyone else has already listed them. For me however games in the Gothic series are for some capable of drawing me back every year to try new things. Gothic 1 and 2 are little known in North America and never recieved rave reviews but I still consider them to be some of the best RPG's ever created. I'm just waiting for Gothic 3 now. It looks like it will rival Oblivion both graphically and in fun factor.

  12. To the winner go the spoils... on HP No Longer Exclusively Supporting Blue-Ray · · Score: 1

Problem is there are hardly any spoils to go around for the winner of this little competition. Billions put into research and development for these two formats and I find it highly unlikely either will take off. Like everyone has already said, hardly anyone has a HDTV to take advantage of them, these are expensive devices, and people are not going to be willing to re-buy the old movies and TV shows they just bought on standard DVD just to view them at what most of them would probably call a 10% increase in picture quality. I mean look at this article from two years ago about regular DVD's: "TV shows old and new send DVD sales soaring" http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/tv/137267_tvondvd.ht ml "Now new and old television shows are being released at such a blistering pace that the genre is becoming the fastest-growing segment of the booming home video industry." Do you really think that "blistering pace" of sales would occur again for a new format so soon after DVD? Like I said people just bought this stuff for crying out loud and now these corporations want them to buy it all over again?
