i drive through this plant everyday while going to work. their parking lot is always full. really feel bad for the people who worked there. but this is the life for people like us who are engineers and develop technology. the fact is "it get better and will ultimately replace the primitives".
I think Ethernet is going to take over the data traffic for large corporates and client connections. However, there still exists applications worth multi billion $ that can absolutely not use such a horrible non-reliable protocol and will continue to use serial/profibus communications.
That's not me but my twin...
Will I get a chance to explain the employer over this misunderstanding or can I sue "Mr.Jumping-over-the-table-and-landing-on-the-floor-drunk.."
I would agree. IE8 follows Firefox and make innovative features available to users that FF fails to reach. Kinda making these features standards and gain popularity for them.
Apple is innovation and Steve is the face

Steve founded Apple with a vision. His passion (I believe what i've heard and read about this is true) for technology has enabled him to continue this vision till now. Throughout his career he has represented Apple like no one else has done...ok...Bill did that too, but Bill, I would rather think him as a business tycoon than a technocrat. Steve represented technically advanced and artistically attractive products which the engineers at Apple invented....maybe copied but definitely made it more innovative.
Apple without Steve may start a new era for Apple, but I am sure someone like Steve who has been a perfectionist in choosing the right technology to bring to market would be able to handover the reign to the right person.
It seems they are back in business. Also, they claim that the Leopard OSX in not modified. And the price for the open computer with pre-installed mac seems to have gone up to $554 from $399.
I use black text on white background and keep the brightness of screen at a comfortable level. Also, setting the refresh rate of the screen higher (if you use CRT monitor) also gives less stress to the eyes.
I have been out of the engineering college for a while now and am working in active engineering area. Here's what worked for me....none of the engineering courses helped. I give credit to all the math and science courses I took. This has led me thinking, should there even be any engineering courses at all? Why cannot there be courses that rather teach basis and then have more mandatory internships or self studying/projects.
This seems same components under the hood with a new name....iPad. There seems to be no innovation. Angled monitor seems to be a good design improvement but no trackpoint, that's not good. As a consumer, I would expect a better resolution and a longer battery life and lighter and less expensive. This looks like ThinkPad is the winner again. It is next to impossible to improve perfection.
I have had professors who acted on change in technology to keep-up with students and there were some who absolutely ignored it. The impact was, professors who changed themselves to accept the new technologies and incorporated them into their teaching method were able to convey their message across and were better accepted by the students. On the other hand those who did not do anything to change themselves became less popular.
It was good this "Free Upgrade" issue is on. I am having difficulty in deciding about buying a Mac in which I got interested after viewing the keynote presentation for Panther OSX. If I buy a Mac now, it will have Tiger OSX which will be replaced by Panther OSX in less than a year. Will this upgrade be free?

not a bad idea. we've seen buildings have spring base. I can finally think about owning a house on a beach during summer and on mountain in winter.

What was the point of holding back for so long now. Now he just lost the last hope for his negotiation.
