  1. Re:Arcade Consoles on Low-End PS3 Comes with HDMI, Cheaper in Japan · · Score: 1

But that's my point. What if Sony is trying to get into the arcade market and reshape the arcades to what they were in the 80's and early 90's? The PS3 is a little too high for the general consumer market, but would it be too high for the arcade owners? It would also be this hybrid between a gaming cafe and arcade. Kids would gather to play multiplayer games online with their friends. I think I would head back to the arcade if this feature was available.

What if Sony is changing their focus from a home console to an arcade console? Bring people back to the arcades at the malls, but now the consoles will be linked to the net. Sounds like a pretty good idea. I haven't been to an arcade since PS1.

The article does mention they want to put 15000 units in stores for people to pay and play.

I say lets do it. Like the others have mentioned, phones already exist on planes. People make things out to be worse than they are going to be. It's like when a parent tells the kid that they are moving. The kids like "this sucks, I'll lose all my friends and I'll hate the new place." Then they move and the kid loves the new place and makes new friends.

I bet $20 that you'll be using your phone just as much as the next guy or gal. I bet people complained when TV's were being added to planes, but they aren't a problem.

This could work if they used it like a lobby group. Keep all gamers up to date on issues and how it will effect them. Then organize some places to protest and see if anyone shows up.

Maybe make a game called "Protester" where your character has to protest in different parts of town. Then if it doesn't work they get in a car, a la GTA, and chase down the politician in a limo and get him/her to listen. Oh yeah, and there's weapons of all sorts including a rocket launcher.

It's all part of Lucas' plan. If he gave you the original in good condition, then what would you buy from him. So he puts out the crappy version now, then it goes in the Disney Vault. 20. Here's my suggestion on Could a Reputation System Improve Wikipedia? · · Score: 1

When you create an account you get the opportunity to create one article. Then the moderators get to vote on the article (because lets face it those editors read everything posted). If you get enough votes, then you can post another article. If you don't get enough votes, then you have to fix up the article until it can get enough votes to write a new article. The votes will also go into a total votes system. So after a month or so of submitting one article at a time you accumulate 100 votes, then you can level up to someone who can submit 2 more articles, then those articles need less votes to allow 2 more article entries. So those who contribute a lot will have the opportunity to do so, and those who want to goof around can only do it to one page. Once you reach a certain level, then you'll be able to go in and correct articles or dispute articles you find incorrect.
