There are thousands of failing points for digital mirror versus couple failing points for regular. Regular mirror will clearly show you when it is failing.

While I must say "Mad Max" was impressive, but I would better watch more "Star Wars" movies that "Mad Max" movies.

Why not use 2 different wavelength lasers (Or even 3 or more) For two lasers (let it be greeen and blue) it would be binary transmission, "4096" fits into 13 bits. Image transmission would be 315 times faster.
