It's plagiarism, you're claiming that you wrote the work when you didn't. Most companies don't claim to have written the materials, they only claim to own it by virtue of paying for it. This isn't a matter of ghost writing, this is a matter of paying somebody to write something that you can then pass of as your own to pass a class.
Any guesses what's going to happen to any student that gets caught doing it? Well, there'll be words thrown around like scholastic dishonesty, cheating and expulsion.
Yeah, that's how it went for TD Ameritrade with their suit. All we got out of it was free trade vouchers. Free trade vouchers, really? You leak our private info to spammers and cyber criminals and then you expect us to be around to use those vouchers?
There are exceptions, but that's typically how it works.
Google lets us have porn on our handsets, so we look the other way. Because Google is cool like that unlike that prude Steve Jobs that suggests that we shouldn't be watching hardcore pornography on the bus.
What discrimination? For crying out loud, they aren't being allowed to keep the money, that money is going to the IRS for use by the federal government.
It's not equivalent. In the vast majority of America, there is no same sex marriage or equivalent and in all of America there isn't a federally recognized union. Straight folks OTOH that are just in committed relationships have the option of getting married and collecting both the benefits as well as the responsibilities of being married. As long as it's not available to same sex couples it's not the same thing as choosing not to be.
The other thing is that the couples end up more or less exactly where they would be were it not for a bunch of bigots refusing to grant equal rights under the law. Perhaps you should do some research rather than making bigoted claims over the internet. I assume that you're going to go back and ask David Duke what the rest of his argument goes like.
We do, and the Israelis have been caught spying on us. That's probably the most offensive of the cases. The Israelis that depend upon us for support are spying on us. Not terribly surprising when they got caught, but it's still going to require a lot of chutzpah to do such a thing. Sort of like assassinating somebody on foreign soil or shooting peace activists.
I assume you're joking. In order for it to be a language there has to be syntax and grammatical rules. You have to write those, then and it doesn't take that long to figure out that it's a new language. And if you don't manage to actually figure that out, then you've got a string of seemingly random characters, which probably look a lot like a password.
Umm, in both cases the individuals were horribly traumatized and had to go through extensive treatment to recover from it. It wasn't just a matter of being mocked by everybody in school, it was a case of being mocked worldwide.
I do, but the permission isn't unlimited. You're not allowed, at least in the US, to sell your children or give permission to a child molester. Those are extreme yes, but look at what happened to the star wars kid from a few years back. Or the Numa Numa guy.
You mean all the money. Considering that this was presumably done without his permission, I doubt very much that the limit is that low. I suspect that he could get all the money. Which in my view he's entitled to, the money was made solely upon his embarrassment, I don't think it would be a hard sell to demand all of it.
The problem is that something that's open might eventually work, whereas something that isn't probably won't unless it's on a blessed platform. Which is the point, if it's a site devoted to Windows or OSX, having content that's not particularly well available beyond those platforms is possibly acceptable. If it's general interest like Youtube is having it be restricted artificially to a couple platforms is clearly not acceptable. Admittedly there's only so much they can do or really should do, but this sort of artificial narrowing of the market is absurd.
At least with VP8 it's available to any platform at present, whether it's been ported is a moot point as the necessary bits to port it are available.
Depends which phone you've got. The Nexus One has a great interface and an ever growing list of available software. Plus since Google doesn't banish software from the market for duplicating functionality or allowing people to see naughty things, you can customize things quite a bit more if the interface isn't to your liking.
Damn straight skippy. They're concerned that people will think that they have to use third parties to crash, brick and spy on you. That's something that they're perfectly capable of doing on their own, thank you very much.
Indeed, as generous as iD software is with their games, they won't let anybody screw around with the install files. I'm not sure why exactly, but I suspect that they're concerned with anything that might go wrong harming their reputation. In this case it's a matter of money. I wasn't following things closely enough, so apparently he was including the graphics and levels rather than requiring the user to get those from somewhere else. That's pretty much always crossing a line at least in the US.
Actually, you'd parallelize that one by just stealing a baby that's already been started. I think that's the most sensible way, or you know you could always rent or adopt if you really need one that fast.
I know, pirating is a lot better because pirates have much higher standards of customer service. Plus they actually provide content when the content owner isn't interested in doing so.
Personally if I were required to pay a surcharge to pay for piracy, I think I'd go that route. It's complete bullshit to charge everybody for piracy and expect people to not get something out of the deal.
Best be careful with the snips, you conveniently left out the bit about it being an extremely limited selection to choose from. The satellite around here is about $50, and you definitely get more than 5x as much programming. Whether it's worth it is debatable, but you definitely get quite a bit more for the money.

No it's not, what's news is that they then take your credit information and completely empty the bank accounts associated with it.
Yes, but it would be nice if they didn't default to saving form information and asking you if you want to save password on every single site.

Tell them to hold, 1984's on the phone and they've got Michael Jackson live.

Yes, there is when it's oneself the term is whore, when it's somebody else then it be Pimpin'.

Because it's too expensive and time consuming to remove the word "beta" from the website?

Mostly media, but for a while it including other things like MP3 players.

I did that once, it turns out that eventually you hit reruns. All those digits 0-9, it gets quite monotonous after a while.
