Even though i agree with his general overall statement, i would like to know how you could come to any conclusion about what % of piracy is done at college campus's using the data that has been given in his blog entry.
1) The Data that they have given is skewed because of the time period that the data was taken. At least two of the four data points compared in this article are during summer months when most of the people who would be file sharing are gone (not many people stay in the dorms during the summer at most university's).
2) Like he says in the article, NAT/PAT is not taken into account and is used on alot of college campuses. Making that number given in the data completely useless. His article is based on the assumption that numbers of "true" users would only be a "bit higher". An assumption that you cannot come to without knowing how many campuses use NAT/PAT.
These episodes, Most likely, will not be available for download. Only available for streaming. This puts the standard version of BitTorrent out of the picture.
I dont think it is going to matter at all who controls the market because in the next 4 years someone is likely to come out with a dual drive that reads both blu ray and HD-DVD.
Id have to say though sony cant be feeling to good if the predictions for there drive's popularity is only 30% of the market. they dont want this to be another betamax and lose another format war that they spent millions on.
I Belive that the Revolution will sell very well. Good games and features + a much lower price than the 360 and ps3 = Sells. Say Bye Bye to some of sonys market share, this long of a gap will allow nintendo and microsoft to gain significant market share.

What i think the poster is trying to say is that if we didnt import that $201 billion dollers that there economy would severly be hurt and the corruption would be more apparent.
Well look at there stock, a disapointment would piss me off too if a stock i paid $400 for didnt preform up to my expectations.
The stock is way over rated, and google is way over rated. People right now are rideing the google hype and when that hype dies down people will realise that google is not as great as they thought. Other than search engine technology they lead the markets of none of there other business ventures (you could make a case for gmail.).
This was actually extremely fast for a vunlerbility in a major component for an operating system. If linux had a security hole of simmilar magnitude it probablly wouldent be patched this fast.
