    Why Claudville? According to the Wikipedia page, there are around 20,000 people in the entire county. And according to the FCC DTV maps, they can only expect to receive two (!) TV stations, both from the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. See here: (enter Claudville, VA) http://www.fcc.gov/mb/engineering/maps/

    That is perhaps why they are testing it there. Its not hard to avoid active TV channels if there are only two.. and they are on adjacent RF channels (31 and 32).

    Except that housing (rent) and food are not subject to sales tax in any state that I know of. Some states (New Jersey for example) don't have sales tax on clothes either, as they would be considered a necessity. Similarly, New York doesn't have sales tax on clothes under a certain dollar amount per item ($100/item or somesuch).

    While I would agree that sales tax is regressive, your statement that food+rent being 90% of income and being taxed is just not correct.

    FYI, I'm not sure where you are, but in NYC, Critial Mass is a highly confrontational event with police arresting cyclists and otherwise disrupting the ride. Some of it is legitimate as the cyclists don't follow traffic regulations.

    PGP is the original. Phil Zimmerman, export control, all the history.

    OpenPGP is a specification for all input and output of a PGP system. RFC 4880. Diverges from PGP5.

    GPG == GNUPG. A Free Software implementation of OpenPGP. Has now become the most commonly used OpenPGP implementation. Werner Koch is the project lead.

    A digitized image of an 2D object in a collection is a "slavish transform", having no original authorship. A 2D photograph of a 3D object is different because it has an original composition.

    I have to say, between FF2 and FF3, there is a _huge_ improvement in performance and stability. This is on Debian, so its actually Iceweasel, but same thing.
