My Deathstar's had the same failure rate. 3 of them within a year and a half. Perhaps some may argue those numbers aren't statistically relevant, but it was close enough for me. I did, however, have more problems with the quantum fireballs which had plenty of issues. Sadly though, I never had the opportunity to actually see the metamorphisis into an actual fireball.
Perhaps because he coined the term "robotics"...? Many would argue he was a visionary and defended the ideals of science in an era where FUD was rampant in sci-fi lit. Don't be banging on Asimov cause he's old school. You might not be able to sit that high on the horse around trekies and the like if he hadn't furthered scientific thinking.
Many people have the ablility to learn quickly and are interested in wide variety of fields. In my experience, it's better to not think of those abilities as an asset. Interest and ability are a dime a dozen. It's the ones who have commitment and discipline to their respective fields who are truly valuable. Don't *ask* what you should be interested in. Find something you like, integrate yourself in the community, and don't get distracted by philosophical ruminations or side projects.
Here is an interesting link describing some ad-blocking countermeasures.

I am herby submitting a patent on a process I call "thinking". Thinking consists of mentally analysing facts and then forming opinions with these facts. Any new posts that contain original "thinking" or "thoughts" shall face stiff legal penalties and will be pursued with the utmost vigor. You may avoid these penalties by paying me enormous royalties before engaging brain or by using only thoughts I have released to the public domain. Your compliance is anticipated. Resistance is futile.
I could have told you this in 99 when my son was a 10-month old. I wish I thought to publish a paper this. I hope no federal money was used on this. It's like the $200 haircut except even more useless. On the plus side, a rigorous scientific method is good so perhaps psychology may one day evolve into a science.
Don't see how that Monopolistic Intel mentality is any different from the Monopolistic Apple one except on a smaller scale. Its really less a Monopolistic mentality and more a proprietary one which I sure Apple user's will gobble right up.
While I would agree that dentists along w/ many other medial professions over-diagnose things and recommend unnessecary procedures, I have trouble believing its because of a lack of business. Have you tried getting an appointment lately? In my neck of the woods, 2-3 month waiting minimum for a standard appointment. Maybe scheduling with a dentist that is scheduled far out is a way to avoid the crackpot's.
> Of course, we get orders to pump enough morphine into them that the whole thing > might be considered mute.
I think the term you are looking for is moot, but depending on how much you gave them mute too could be a better descriptor.
Get back to me when there is a useful chemical process involving de-denaturing the ethanol so I can put it back to good use. Just totally undrinkable in its current form.
I think the intelligent designer wanted us to find them now...
I'm pretty sure these bugs are somehow supposed to body snatch Pat Robertson who will then become the next President by assinating any who oppose him. Donald Rumsfeld, who is also translucent w/ a yellow liver, will be his running mate.
Upon hearing these plans of the intelligent designer, the flying spagetti monster was quoted "You win, I've got nothing." Its noody appendage was reported as "limp".
Pot: Kettle, you are sooooo black.

Real Men(TM)use net send to get the message across. As an added bonus, most people won't take the time to reply.
