No you would not need to customize the interface because the interface is very good and not fucked up by some phone manufacturer that does not know software at all but wants to stand out.. I think hardware specs do not matter that much as long as android does not have high quality tablet app's like garageband or imovie or even iwork there is no competition for apple from any android tablet.

The most likely scenario is that they knew all along that it was flawed because it was so obvious. By releasing it anyway on the unsuspecting public borders on criminal behavior.
I thought libertarian and free-market organizations would have disbanded by now because of the bank deregulation and economic catastrophe. These opinions seem a bit dated and a bit out of touch today. But I guess there are all kinds of old fashioned ideologies still around like religions but do we really care about what they think of free software? So why do we care here?
The funny thing is that in os-x as a average developer you can do all those things that itunes does yourself all with public api's. How is that for a supposedly closed platform. It is windows fault that you have to use undocumented api's.

My iPhone 3g did not have this problem this morning and I am in Europe. Are there people here who really experienced this?
