I would like to thank the person that is using their spam servers to send these bluesecurity emails. Since the emails don't sell or link to anything, all the spammer is doing it letting the BlueFrog Community know that BlueSecurity is hurting his/her pocketbook, spending time and money on us instead of regular spam and giving us the ip addresses of all the machines they use to spam.
I recommend these programs to all my co-workers, friends and family. BlueFrog - Fight spam with the Blue Community DefilerPak - Video/Audio Codec Pak FireFox - IE replacement Foobar2000 - Audio Player MyUninstaller - ADD/Remove Programs alternative Nero - CD/DVD burning software NOD32 - Very fast and accurate Virus Scanner Thunderbird - Outlook Express Replacement Treewalk DNS - Local caching DNS Trillian - Many IM Clients in One UltraEdit32 - Best Windows Text Editor (check out column mode) UltraMon - If you multiple monitors this program is great Zoomplayer - DVD/Media player
I used to see 4-10 movies a month at the theater for more than 5 years. Now I see less than 12 movies a year at the theater. My reason's for going less are: The audio always sucks. The screen is never in focus. Sometimes the aspect ratio for the movie is wrong. The crowd on opening night makes it hard to get good seats and if you don't see if opening night it will have damaged frames in the film. I never thought I would be saying this but I agree with Disney and think that the movie should be release on DVD at the same time as in the theater but only if they don't raise the price on the DVD.
ReadyNas X6 is very nice. It has support for upto 4 SATA drives and can grow the raid array if you want to only start with 2 drives. I would recommend this with the SATA 400GB western digital raid drives.
1) Get all the updates from a friend and burn them to a CD. Install updates before connecting to the internet. 2) Connect to the internet behind a hardware firewall/NAT device. Then update everything. I would recommend doing both.
Here is how I avoid ads: No radio in the car. Take routes to work with less businesses less ads on those routes. No magazine subscriptions. TiVo with 30 second skip enabled.
On the PC I use Firefox without Flash installed. If a site needs flash I find another site. Pop-up/under are blocked and flashy ads get removed with the Nuke Anything extension. The only ads I will ever click on will be at Google when I'm searching for something and the AD sounds like the right thing.
Because I pay for the space in my Email Box the spammer doesn't. All of these others don't cost me anything to witness in a public place. This is the reason telemarketers shouldn't call a cell phone before the DO NOT CALL list was started.
Or just use Myuninstaller http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/myuninst.html to delete items in from the Add/Remove Programs list in Windows without uninstalling the software.
The next time you order checks have only your initials (instead of first name) and last name put on them. If someone takes your check book they will not know if you sign your checks with just your initials or your first name but your bank will know how you sign your checks.
When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the "For" line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it.
Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box use your work address.
Never have your SS# printed on your checks (DUH!) -- you can add it if it is necessary. But if you have it printed, anyone can get it.
Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine, do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel.
Keep the photocopy in a safe place. Also, carry a photocopy of your passport when you travel either here or abroad.
Here's some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens to you or someone you know:
We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them easily.
File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where it was stolen, this proves to credit providers you were diligent, and is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one).
But here's what is perhaps most important: Call the three national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and Social Security number. The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit.

Redhat 6.1 has an upgrade option. I tested it in the beta of 6.1 on my home pc, and it worked great. It checks the rpm install log, and then just Upgrades everything that you had installed. Not everything will need to be reconfigured, some things might but not everything. Make sure you are not using a USB Keyboard of Mouse, or the cool installer will not start.
I found Anti Keylogger Shield, but I don't know if it works.

Extraction to the PC was never a feature TiVo made available it was a hack made by people that have TiVo(s).
